Default I need to clean my house.....

But I have no energy to do it. I've been getting by doing the minimum-loading and unloading the dishwasher and running the sweeper, but I need to do more. Both bathrooms need a good scrub down after the holidays and guests, I need to change the sheets on the beds, organize and go through the clutter piling up, catch up on laundry and the list goes on. DH is being pretty good about it. I know he thinks the house is a mess, cause I do too, but I think he understands that I don't have any energy. But it's driving me crazy and I feel bad that its getting to be a mess. Anyone dealing with this? Any tips on tackling the mess?

I feel the same way. The other day my daughter mixed together a load of clean & dirty laundry. Yep, it is still mixed together in the basket. My m/s is getting better but my energy is VERY LOW! It takes everything I have to go to work and fix dinner much less do anything else. My DH is doing what he can but he works a lot of overtime so he is usually tired too. I have just come to the realization that having a clean house does not make me a good mom & hopefully in a few weeks I will have my energy back & it will eventually get done.

No tips, I'm in the same boat as you! My plan today is to tackle the laundry.

I'm still struggling! We did end up making a weekly plan as gas as which rooms we would tackle and rotated them. That way we all know what's coming and when so we are prepared and DH can help on the weekends. My big thing is now trying to squeeze one more major house cleaning before the baby arrives.

Omg my family and friends keep trying to make plans w me. I am a sahm of a 2 year old and I'm whooped. My house is a disaster which is not like me. I'm not OCD but I try to dust, mop, keep up on dishes, laundry fails me. But I cannot do jack before 5 pm. I'm a dud on the couch trying to feed my boy, change him, cuddle him, do puzzles w him and potty train him. I don't have m/s yet but the sheer functionality of my body is not there. Forget showering until nighttime!!!

I understand. I just keep the house straight (like picking up things but no cleaning per se) during the weekdays and do one load of laundry a day and save my vacuem, and deeper cleaning for Saturday. At night I am literally having to drag myself through the motions just to get anything done!

I'm with you! I've been so sick and tired my house looks like the garbage pail kids live there! Oh please come fast second trimester....I can't stand living in the filth, but have no energy to do anything about it!!

A really grat Christmas gift would have been a visit from a maid service!!!!

Ugggh tell me about it. DH works long shifts so on days he is working I only get to see him for an hour or so and I work M-F. By the time I get done working, doing which ever errands need to be done, cooking dinner and going through the whole bed time routine with DD I am DONE. I can’t do a single thing more. My house is a DISASTER! I only work 6 hours a day but I also take DD to work with me, so I feel like a SAHM with a job. I just don’t know how to do more. Luckily DH is really good and will help clean on his days off without complaint or comment. But I feel like I should be doing more. Big plan this weekend, lazily clean the house (Putting the word lazy in there will make it feel much more accomplishable ). It will be like commercial cleaning. That is accomplishable in two days with a 4 year old and a husband who has to sleep during the day.....right?!?

Glad I'm not the only one! I'm trying to o one room a day. Yesterday I got one bathroom done. well, almost done. I didn't mop because Leo woke up from his nap early. But I got the shower and the sink and toilet scrubbed. I like the idea of doing one load of laundry a day. I usually let it pile up then do all the loads in one day. At leat if I do one load a day ill feel like I accomplished something
