    Default Updates!

So, now that some of us are getting into weekly checks, I thought it would be fun to have an updates thread to keep track of everyone's progress!

My first check is Wed., and I'll share what I find out. I'd love to hear about everyone else's progress, too! Or even if you're not getting checked, I'd love it if everyone shared their appointment details!

We are in the final countdown, ladies! Yay!

I am so excited for everyone! We are VERY close now! I have my first appointment with my new clinic on Wednesday too. Since I am 34-35 weeks I don't know what exactly they are going to do.. But I do know they are running all the same blood work and u/s that you get throughout a pregnancy. First trimester labs, and anatomy u/s for sure. The nurse told me to be prepared to be there for several hours! I will find out more about my upcoming appointment schedule on Wednesday and I will keep you all updated!

Had an uneventful appt today. No weight gain and BP was good. I'm still sick though. I go back in two weeks then every week. I'm opting out of cervical checks though. I'm just not willing to chance it since I lost my plug, had bloody show and my water broke within minutes of my 37 week cervical check. I want to make it to 38/39 weeks this time if I can. I think that they will do the strep swab at my appt on the 14th though. I think next weekend I will start packing my hospital bag and washing baby clothes!

Oh I forgot about the strep b swab! And I definitely don't blame you for declining the cervix checks too - I'd probably do the same in your situation. But since it is really hard to get me into labor, I kind of want them for the hopes that they DO help!

Oooo the strep B is coming up! Isn't there things to do to avoid a positive?

Yes, I know there is a wash that you can order online if you google it you will find something for it.

So the wash clears it up? I don't want anything that masks that. I don't want abx either but that seems like the better choice.

I know - it's just so weird to me that we're to this point! He said I was right on target, and I didn't go early with Liam, so don't expect to this time either. I've started having a few contractions here and there, so my guess is in the next week or 2, if it keeps up, I might start to see some dilation. We'll see!

He also did the strep b swab, so hopefully that come back clean!

Had my 32ish week appt today..actually it was tomorrow but I showed up today on accident and they fit me in no problem..lol. No weight gain so still at 7lbs total. Everything is good..Dr thinks he has flipped- he was breech at my sono 2 wks ago. Im getting alot of rib kicks and I felt hiccups really low last night so I think he did too. They will confirm at my next appt (my last 2 week
one) by sono. If he is breech they will have me sent to hospital to try and turn him. Im praying he is turned but I'll do anything to avoid meds/csection!! My shower is 1/13 and I can't wait to get some baby boy stuff set up!

Eek!! BP was pretty high today so they are doing a 24 hour urine. If it comes back high or if I get any symptoms of the pre-e I will be going in the hospital until she is born!! Yikes!!

Keep us posted. Praying it's not pre-e and just those new doc nerves.

I had an ultrasound today, and it showed baby girl is weighing 7 lbs 3 oz and is at the 68th percentile! Holy growth spurt since she was just at the 49th %tile 4 weeks ago! They said the margin of error is up to 10 oz in either direction, so I suppose she could weigh slightly less, but could also weigh more! Eek!

My next cervix check is tomorrow, so we'll see if my body is making any progress towards the big day.

Wow! She's currently bigger than Piper was when I delivered her at 37 weeks! I think this baby is bigger than her but my doc doesn't measure anything. My first weekly check is next Monday. I desperately need this baby to bake for the next 3 weeks.

    Sending baking vibes your way!!!!!

Just got back from my appointment. BP is still a little high but not as bad as last week. She said that even if I don't get Pre-e, they would like to induce at 38 weeks just to be safe because of my history. So I will only be pregnant for 2 more weeks! They did the GBS test and checked and I was 1-2 cm, 100% effaced and she touched the babies head! She said that baby is super low! I could tell to because the exam wasn't the least bit uncomfortable. If I get any weird feelings or symptoms of Pre e, I am to go to L and D.
Wow - you are so close! I can't believe things are happening in this room! It just seems so unreal!

Oh I forgot to add I do NOT have Strep B, so I was glad to hear that!

Sounds like you may be in L&D soon anyway!!! Lol. I'm so glad you don't have pre-e. and it doesn't sound like an induction would be difficult. I can't believe we are talking about delivery!!!

Hi Mommas, it's been a while! Life has been busy. Now the holidays are over and I'm trying to take it easy, I have more time.

I will get my first internal next week when my midwife does the gbs. I don't really go off it anyway as I was 3cm with my son for a month and had to be induced a week late.

With my surrogate baby I was nothing the while time and has her 4 days early, so it's really no indication for me on when baby will come.

I will be bummed if babe is late, though.

Although we still don't even have a name.

I had my 34 week appointment yesterday and it was relatively normal, except my midwives were split on whether the baby was breech or not. I am about 99.99999% confident the baby is head down based on what I'm feeling, but I wasn't going to argue with having another extra ultrasound to see my babe one last time. I'll be curious to see the size and of course position. I hope they don't spill the beans on the gender - I'm so close to going all the way on team green. Though I'll be more surprised if it's a girl since I've convinced myself and everyone around me that it's a boy. I'll let you know if the baby is breech.... but I doubt it.
