    Default dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Hi. I am 29 years old. My husband and I have been ttc for the past year. But I've been having alot of medical issues. My cycles have been irregular. Sometimes I would skip a month or 2, but when my cycle starts my doctor have to put me on medication to make it stop. In fact one time I bled so much I was in danger of needing a blood transfusion. I've had pelvic exams, ultrasounds, harmone and thyroid checks, and 2 endometrial biopsies and the doctor couldn't find anything medically wrong with me, but said that I may have something called dysfunctional uterine bleeding. And the best way to treat it is with birth control pills, hormone therapy, or the worse case scenario a hysterectomy. That was devastating news to hear. But I do wanna have kids. So I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of dysfunctional uterine bleeding and if anyone knows the likelihood of getting pregnant with it.

I have never heard of this but wanted to send you well wishes. Never give up hope. Sometimes, we have to go to another Dr for a second or third opinion. There's always a Dr somewhere that knows more than the others and can help you. Praying you get the baby you long for.

Thank you so much. I will look into seeing another doctor because even my doctor said I may have to see a fertility specialist.
