Can you guys believe what has happened in Connecticut today? I'm just shocked. This will be my first baby, so I'm not quite a parent yet, but God can I feel the sheer terror in my heart the parents of the children at that school must be feeling today. Just horrible, horrible.

Its awful and its part of why we pulled my niece out of school because in the last year our schools have had several bomb threats and shooting threats and we are in the country not the city! It is also why DS will be going to either a small private school or staying home and being taught with the local homeschool group. I am so terrified to send him into what is a known threat. I mean no one saw the slashing that happened at my high school my sophomore year when a kid's throat was cut and the other kid ran and it was all over a girl. I mean WTH?

What has been working for your nausea? Nothing but Zofran seems to help me.

I am now on low dose zofran but i have been snacking every hr and i have a cotton ball of peppermint oil in my bra. Also when I'm not eating i am sucking on mints. This helps but Im still nauseous but its easier to manage. Oh and I keep my self cool. If I het a wave of nausea I rest with a cool cloth on my head and my cold rice pack on my neck. DS helps a lot with getting them.

We are sick, too! I was hoping to luck out and not catch my kids' cold but as expected I got it ten days after my DS first got sick. It's not fun to have such a yucky cold with post nasal drip and a very unhappy tummy.

I was cuddling one of my friend's 6m old the other day and I could not help but get anxious about our chance. While she was here she also told me if I want all of her girl clothes for the future I can have them. She still doesnt know we are expecting! I cant wait to see the look on her face when I tell her. She would die. So now I will have newborn boy and girl clothes so no matter what we will be set for a while. My biggest thing I need to buy is carseats and the ones I want are $230 a piece so i will have to save up for them or use my extra financial aid from school on it.

Hey all! I have been babysitting a little girl since she was two months old in February. Just one to two days a week but yesterday was my last day. I put in my notice so I would have more time for the babysitting swap I'm a part of and to spend time with DD while I feel awesome during the second trimester it was a little bittersweet as DD had finally started interacting and having fun with her. DD is so not into babies, completely ignores them. They gave me a Christmas present/bonus! Gift card to the local fabric shop, wahoo! Totally unexpected.

Tonight is date night! Going out to dinner and to see the Nutcracker. My friends keep talking about how their little girls are excited to go and my DH is taking me. I'm the excited little girl poor guy, it's gonna be us and a million moms and daughters I think. I've never seen it before. Eek! Seriously stupidly excited.

SNOW!!! And DS loved it! It was just too cold to stay out in for long. Also our husky kept trying to stop DS from falling over. I love this!

Awwwww. Those pics from today!? He's loving it! DD was sooooooo excited to to out and see snow this morning. As soon as we got outside she started screaming "NOOO! NOOOOO!! It's hitting my face!" Hehe. Poor girl. She came right back inside.

Also, out to dinner last night and DH asked if I wanted a tequila shot. I said, you serious? I'm pregnant. I thought maaaaaaaybe he was joking. But nope. He forgot! How do you forget!!! men!

Lol yep they are from today. He didn't want to come in so I bribed him with hot chocolate lol. Dh keeps forgetting as well. I think it's cause we are not a visual yet only symptomatic. Though dh began talking to my belly and rubbing it so I think part of his issue is he is still not fully optimistic yet but each day he is getting better. Also I won't be able to keep a secret much longer cause ds keeps talking about babies and mommy's belly.

Snow is just starting in my part of PA. DD is so excited to play in it.

This morning, after hitting the snooze the 4th time, I sat up in bed still attempting to wake up. DH rolled over and started rubbing my belly. Up high though.. Its the first time hes shown any affection or excitement for this one! He can't forget that I'm pregnant because my really dirty house due to my fatigue and nausea won't let him forget!

Then to get started on my Chili for family dinner tonight! Ahhh perfect meals sweets and spice.

ETA: At this rate I'm gonna end up with GD Eating sweets as I go and drinking hot chocolate.

One of my friends gave birth last night to a 9 lb 21 3/4" long baby boy at home after 5 hrs of labor. He is adorable and I am so proud of her. She said her midwife team was so supportive and she did not feel like she was in pain but just slightly uncomfortable. She also has a lower pain tolerance then I do... So she gave me hope that I can birth to my tiny babies easily lol.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, if you celebrate it! DS had such a great time opening his gifts. Maybe we got him too many because it literally took him all day! He had to open one, play with it for a while, get distracted, have a snack, open another, etc. So cute!

Lol we did not do as many gifts this year cause last year was too over whelming with them but we also bought bigger gifts this year and DS's favorite thing was his kitchen set. He sat and played with it all day after we got it together. We had a reasonably good day other wise.

Took awhile here too. Loved every minute of it. Definitely the best year so far. It is usually a long week with family and traveling and a birthday. She is old enough now tshe breaks when she needs them. It's hilarious. Yesterday she went upstairs to lay on a bed for a bit after dinner. She came downstairs after about 10 minutes, DH peeked in on her and she was actually laying in the guest bed at mom's house. My girl needs her quiet time.
