I am glad to hear that Jessica! I am hoping to get the pic of DS for our announcement today but idk if I can since he is still badly sick with a cold. I also have a migraine and just want to sleep.

    Happy New Year ladies!!

I'm finding out this morning (ahem...afternoon) that pregnant people should not stay up till 3 am. Don't see myself getting out of bed today.

I have a pesky headache too, but I can't imagine having a migraine and not being able to do anything about it. Poor Sammi!!

I hope early 2013 brings you all health that remains for the rest of your pregnancies!!

Thanks for your thoughts.. Im fairly used to them though since I've had them since I was a kid. No reason as to why but its a very reoccurring thing. I did not stay up past 11. I passed out and I felt DH get into bed and say happy new year but IDK if I said anything back lol.

I went for an appointment yesterday to discuss family history with the nurse practitioner and she weighed me and checked my vitals. Apparently I've lost 12 pounds since I was last weighed 6 weeks ago. It sucks not being able to eat and feeling sick every time I do . I have an appointment this Friday for the typical Pap smear stuff and such, hopefully my Dr. isn't too irritated with me. Honestly, I can afford to lose so i'm hoping he won't come down on me too hard.

It will be ok. When you do have an appetite eat if you are really in need of weight then pick up some ensure and drink it when you can. I have lost some weight at all but my loss has finally stopped and is now staying the same. I hope you start gaining soon.

The first few weeks of this pregnancy flew by for me!! I can't believe I'm about to begin the 2nd trimester already!! I hope the rest moves along this quickly. Especially after today. Go figure at 11 weeks I'm having my worst bout of nausea so far

Had my 12 week appt today. Took DD and we heard the heartbeat. It was really fun. As I drove home I was thinking..... Man, two more appointments and I will know boy or girl. We didn't ultrasound with DD but plan to with this one, so it seems so crazily close! Also, I gained 8 lbs. IN. FOUR. WEEKS. Ack!

Aww I'm sorry. I agree I hope this flies by but not too fast because I want to really enjoy this pregnancy since it is my last.

I am glad you had a good appointment. I happened to stop and think between Feb 20th and March 20th i can have my gender scan but they might be able to tell when I have my NT scan or at least give me a guess. 8 lbs in 4 weeks is not too bad as long as it doesnt keep up. lol

I'm sitting here trying to get DS to sleep and making my list of stuff we need. I realized maybe I was too premature to get rid of everything after my last loss because now I have to buy the big ticket items. Though we will start next month plus buying a pack of diapers every 2 weeks so we wont have to worry so much when it comes to buying them after the baby is born.

Kathleen -- be very happy that you don't have a child already after staying up til 3am! I stayed up til 2 and I am still paying the price! We had people over so I felt like I had to stay up and it was fun at the time but SO exhausted afterward...

I had my appt on Monday. All is well except apparently I have a UTI with no symptoms. On antibiotics I go... On the bright side, we have our big u/s on Feb 12!!! Less than 6 weeks to go!!!

Yep, I said to my DH that this is the last time I'll be staying up that late willingly for a LONG time! I'm still feeling sluggish today!! And having bad nausea. Just trying to keep in mind that feeling yucky is my LOs way of letting me know s/he's alright in there
I can't wait till you all start finding out the gender! I'll be living vicariously through you since we're not finding out!!

Katie- That is so exciting and I can not believe you have a date now! AHH! I should get to schedule mine on Wednesday.

Kathleen- Yeah I'm lucky to stay up past 10:30 and I am glad that DS goes to bed then. I hope you get to feeling better. Being team green would be fun but I can not stand to wait. I give you kudos for being able to hold out.

UGH I feel like tar today. Yesterday I had a good day where I hardly felt anything at all but today I already feel like I am falling flat on my face.

happy new year everybody, it's going to be an exciting one.

Christine, I have lost a few pounds too, just eat what you can, and make up for it in 2nd trimester!!!!

kmrk, i am glad it's gone fast for you, for me the first few weeks have dragged, but it doesn't seem so bad looking back on it. My nausea is still strong as ever (( too, but not long now. I can't wait t start feeling like myself again

Katie, will you be 20 weeks in feb??? wow that's halfway already. Everybody else's pgs seem to be going faster than mine!!

Sammi, you are too organised, I threw alot out after I had Shay, but I will beg borrow steal what I can, as I have realised that some of the things cost a lot and are used for a short amount of time. I bet there are so many things in people's attics that are perfectly useable, so I am going to ask around nearer the time.

Mariel, congrats on the 12 week appt. I can't wait for DS to get involved in this pg, but we have to wait for prenatal testing before we tell him
    Take care girls

MummytoShay -- yes, I will be 20 weeks the day we find out the gender! Don't worry if it feels like it is going slow right now. Mine really dragged up until about 12 weeks and now it is starting to go faster. It helps that I'm feeling a lot better too! My EDD is July 2 so it helps that I'm right at the beginning of the month. I think it would be tough to have an EDD at the end of the month and have to watch everyone else hit all their milestones first!

Wow - I didn't realize that until you said it. Crazy! I also agree, DD seems closer, more realistic on this side of the holidays too. Hope everyone had great ones!

I know its crazy! I keep looking at the calendar and thinking man I am almost in the second trimester. I will be getting all the tests done in the next few weeks and by DS's birthday I may know what we are having. I think all the early appointments helped to make the time go by quicker.

So I was not able to find my phone for over 24 hrs till I went to go to my MIL's. Well I found it under the tire of my SUV in the snow. I love otter box because it still works perfectly even when DH ran it over! No water in it or screen cracks. Perfect! Oh and no toddler tonight because he suckered the in-laws into keeping him tonight. Just a hair bit more sleep for me!

That's crazy! Did the otter Box survive too? I'm so glad you aren't having to replace an expensive phone.

Yep! perfect! Though it would of been an excellent excuse to get the iphone 5 and DH would of got it for me... instead now I have to wait even though I have an upgrade cause he wants to see if it will go down or Verizon will do a bundle of accessories on a good deal to go with it. lol

I know and i think it may work better I was having a few keys in my slide out keyboard sticking and even the slide stuck but now its doing fine. Too weird.

So I think I may be pretty much set now no matter if we have a girl or a boy. 2 of my friends are sending all of their stuff to me and their babies were born in June of last year. and I mean its all kinds of stuff from bedding to clothes and some other various things. I love my friends....

That's awesome! I have a lot of cousins with kids and my SIL had a baby girl last year on July 4, so I'm hoping people will be generous with their hand-me-downs. In other news my doppler finally arrived today! Just waiting for DH to get home so we can try it out!

My siblings did that for me too so I hope that you get a ton! You should try the doppler again. Just be sure you are pointing towards the center and not towards the left or the right.

You guys are lucky... all my friends are in TTC mode or having kids still, so no one is giving away anything yet. I did get all of DH's sister's stuff since she is done, but she had two boys so we have nothing for a girl. Only FIVE weeks til we find out!!! (Not that I'm counting down or anything )

Well my friends just had their 2nd babies and I gave them a lot of DS's stuff so they are just passing back what Ive passed forward. Thats one of the nice things about being young moms who know how to penny pinch.

Well just sold a bunch of my used textbooks to amazon and now I have the credit to get either our crib and a few other things or almost enough to get the car seat I want! One nice thing about being very easy on textbooks and not writing in them cause I can sell them back

So I am still so exhausted and my child is wound for sound. So i am letting him play in the bath to burn off some energy before we continue with the day. Please dont let him have this much energy the rest of the day. Oh and I have a head cold to top it off..

    How is everyone doing?

We are hanging in there! My lungs still don't feel great so I may have to see someone somewhere this week. My DS has a needle biopsy of his super enlarged lymph node tomorrow and we my three year old has her first dentist appointment on Thursday. Should be a....fun?....week for us.

DS just has his first dental work done this week and let me tell you that was not fun at all. I hope that his biopsy comes back quickly and is quickly treated. I hope you get feeling better soon. It gonna be a long week ahead of all of us.

Oh I did order me a swim suit and within an hour after placing the order the price jumped on it from $35 to $96. I was so excited to get it now rather then later thanks to a wicked sale on amazon. Now I can take DS swimming at our indoor pool and wear him out while getting some exercise.
