Is it really possible for things like acidic foods to pass through breast milk? From what I know of nursing it doesn't make sense. It would be like saying if you eat spicy foods your blood would be spicy...but I have been battling horrendous diaper rashes with DD3 since birth. I finally started giving her probiotics which I thought took care of it. Yesterday I change her diaper and there it is - back again I had tomato sauce on Saturday night. I suspected tomato sauce during the previous breakout and I think had pizza the night before the last rash....but it seems silly that the acid in the tomato sauce would pass through breast milk?
I understand something like caffeine, nicotine or alcohol but tomato sauce?! Does that make sense? I took a Vit C pill and now I am paranoid!
Anyone have experience with this?
