We meet with our adoption social worker Friday! She said this was mostly background information and then we'll schedule our home visit. I hope this means maybe the judge is allowing a 3 month wait instead of 6! Fingers crossed!

Thanks cousin!! I'll text you Friday! I went to the dr today for my checkup - we all have to have a note saying we're in good health (me, dh, and dd). My dr has adopted 4 kids so he was very supportive!

Leah (27) DH (30) Diagnosed PCOS and possible Endometriosis 2012/Diagnosed CVID 2007
So we met the social worker Monday and I think it went well. She seems very nice. We gave her lots of background information, turned in our letters from our doctors, letters of recommendation, work pay stubs, legal paperwork from the lawyer, and more. We still need to try to get a copy of Chloe's birth certificate. We filled out paperwork for our background checks. We have a financial form to complete. Then we scheduled the home visit - January 10th. Exciting and scary! Then she'll turn in her findings to the judge and we'll see if the adoption can be in February instead of May!

Yay! That's very exciting! How wonderful it would be for it to go through in Feb instead of May. The wait is killer for these kinds of things. Keep us updated! Can't wait to hear how it all goes! Jan 10th isn't that far away.
