    Default Let's talk RRLT

Who is planning to drink it? I'm pretty sure I can start on Saturday (at 32 weeks), and it's just 1 cup a day at first, gradually building to 3 cups a day at the very end. But I can't remember much else other than its purpose is to help tone the uterus. I can say that after using it with ds, I have MUCH less clotting and bleeding than I did with Madelyn. But then, I was forced into an early labor with her, and a very hard labor at that, plus I didn't get to breastfeed her, so I'm sure all of that played a role, too.

I didn't drink it with the other two. Where do you buy it?

I always ordered it on Amazon before. I'm not sure if the regular stores have it or not!

I've already started and not near where you are at, I mix it with the regular rasberry zinger, honey, and lemon. I only drink about 16oz which is 8oz of the RRL.

I didn't even think about drinking it. I didn't with Ceci, and I feel with all the BHs I have, that my uterus has to be somewhat toning itself! But I'll have to look further into it. I'm all about finding things/ways to make labor efficient and effective!

See that's the thing - I don't really have BH! So I think my uterus DOES need toning, and lots of it, ha! Anyway, I ordered Earth Mama Angel Baby's Third Trimester Tea, so I'm going to start drinking as soon as it comes in!

I have BH quite frequently as well. Does it taste good?

well, I used a diferent brand last time, and no, it did not taste good! It's a little bitter. But adding honey helps. You can get it in a capsule form, too.

Also, even if I had BH all the time, I might consider taking it jsut for the benefits of lessened bleeding/clotting. But they do say if you drink it and start having too many BH, you obviuosly wouldn't want to continue.

I am 29 weeks and I just started drinking it. With past pregnancies I honeyed the hell out of ti cause I thought it was nasty tasting. But this time, I like it! I just brew and drink, no sugars added.

I do have BH regularly, always have with previous pregs as well, but I think RRLT can't hurt and we can use all the toning we can get! (it's a myth that it can cause preterm labor, form what I understand.) I am also doing a lot of yoga and swimming this time. Here's hoping for fast and easy deliveries!!!

I think from what I understand it can't cause PTL, but if your body is already preparing for labor, it can help you get there faster, which is why I think they advise those at risk for PTL not to take it. But I could be wrong about that, or maybe I'm confusing that with EPO (which I plan to start a few weeks before my dd).

My RRL will be here Monday - yay! I'm excited now, but I remember how quickly I got sick of drinking it last time, lol. I hear the Earth Mama brand has a better taste than what I used previously, so maybe I won't need honey - we shall see!

You are absolutely right about being cautious if you are prone to or shows signs of PTL. I think if I had any signs of preterm labor I would avoid anything that might stimulate even a braxton hicks. Thanks for reminding me about evening primrose! I'd completely forgotten that I used to take those...as well as use them to grease the wheels so to speak. I think I started those around week 36? Can't remember so ~~~off to research what is recommended.

PS Can you believe how exciting this is? Preparing for our deliveries?? Time has flown and we are all so blessed to have made it this far.

I've found so much conflicting midwives some say 3000 some say 4500. But I've with ClarrisseMarie about doing everything I can to avoid being induces and to go into labor on my own.

That's what I'm doing right now! Researching when and how much to start, haha. I did not use it very much last time, but this time I'm going to be doing EVERY possible thing to not have to be induced. I'll be starting acupuncture around 37/38 weeks, too (thankfully it's covered by insurance!).

It really is exciting that we are talking about this stuff already!
