I have not drank a pop for almost a week and when I took a sip of my niece's pop this am it made me feel pukey. I think I'm done with pop for at least the first trimester, instead I'm on a green tea/ sweet tea / hot chocolate kick.

I've just hit the point where I don't want to eat or drink certain things -- but I really DO want to... if that makes sense. My mind is saying "That sounds really yummy or I love eating that" and my stomach/baby just goes "meh, we don't really want that therefore its going to make you gag just thinking about it anymore... may as well give up now"....
Although I don't like to give in to all of my cravings etc -- I'm looking forward to the phase of the game where I'll start seeing something and REALLY want it and it tastes super good!! Although last night I bought some cinnamin-raisin rice pudding from the cooler at the grocery store because it sounded good!!
Yeah I'm at that stage too. Cinnabon cinnamon rolls sounded fantastic then I started eating and it's like nope you don't want this so I was stuck with apples and toast again. At least I can eat healthier food maybe I won't gain so much this time around lol
I'm still under consumption lol I've lost some weight already but I'm at least able to keep some stuff down but I'm ready for the 2nd trimester so I can get over this lol about another month left and I might make it through Christmas lol
I read somewhere that Green Tea is not safe to drink during pregnancy...I'll see if I can find the info on it. It's one of my favorites too, and I quit drinking it all together when I found out I was preggo. My favorite thing has been the Orange Walmart brand Sports Drink. I can't get enough of it. That and Orange Koolaid.
This must have been what I read that makes it sound unsafe: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/ar...nant-mums.html
But upon further reading, it looks like it is okay in moderation, just like any other drink with Caffeine in it I would assume.

I usually can't stand pop ever. Right now a sip or two makes me feel better. So, I guess that I am the opposite of you in regards to pop right now.

Check out our business, JRSolutions.
Yeah I knew about that and really it's only a bit and my major tea consumption is decaf black tea so I'm ok.
Same here. Lost some weight, don't want to eat. I've been able to get meat down and I crave salt. My friend knew I was thirsty a few days ago but all she could find at a pit stop the other day was a bottle of Coke. I took one sip and haven't wanted any more. Not that I'm sad about this, just was really surprised since I love Coke. Been sticking to water and lemonade and ginger ale if I feel really nauseous. I keep dreaming about eating.
I have found the opposite- the bubbles settle my stomach, so I crave cloudy lemonade. It's all crazy though, especially as I am off chocolate and spicy foods.
I can usually drink a little pop, and ginger ale or sprite helps when I'm nauseous. But yesterday at work we had a SodaStream party and I tried like 5 different kinds of pop plus a root beer float, and I felt sooo gross the rest of the afternoon! The smell of coffee makes me gag which is weird because I normally LOVE the smell of coffee! So I've been sticking to water, occasional pop, milk, and a little juice. Healthy food definitely makes me feel better than greasy stuff so maybe I won't gain as much this time around either!
