Default Met with my midwife today

I had my first appt with my midwife today! She also happens to be my ex-aunt (she and my uncle/godfather had a VERY amicable divorce) and the woman who delivered my brother 19 years ago tomorrow. So we are both so excited. It was still too early to see/hear/feel k

Whoops, pressed submit by accident. Still to early to see much but she said my uterus feels good and is nice and soft and growing but is def only big enough to have one baby in there (DH says "thank god") lol. Next month we go for our home birth orientation! Anyone else planning a home birth?

I'm glad that things are going well! I'd love to have a home birth but my DH doesn't want me to do so.

I'd love a home birth but I am too high risk to get it. :/ But I am excited to hear that you had a good appointment. Now I am trying to find a doula but the closest ones to me are an hour+ away.

Yay for a good appt! I do not plan to have a home birth unless we don't make it to the hospital in time I have a friend who had a home birth with her 3rd child and she loved it!

Yeah most of my friends think I'm nuts, but birthing at home has always been what I've wanted to do. Hopefully my DH will be more confident about my decision after our orientation.

I had met with a midwife and if it wasnt for that midwifes can not legally birth in my state then I would push for her to come to the hospital with me but I dont want to risk her. I think I found a doula though.

I hope you get an amazing at home experience. One of my friends had one last year that ended up being unassisted because the midwife was stuck behind a wreck but she loved it.
