I'm pregnant with number 2 & 3 now. But as most you you know only one baby is coming home. I have always wanted three at home and we have been talking about trying one more time after this. We have talked about ttc about 6 months after this preg. I am sure people will think we are crazy.

What's a good age gap? Cameron will be 6 when the babies are born in march, I have always wanted all the kids close in age, but that can't happen.

I know it's not like there is a magic number. I'm more curious about what different people think are good gaps.

I've only had one age gap - 16.5 months - and I thought it was great. I got pregnant with my second when my first was 7 months old so that would be a possibility for you. Two in diapers wasn't a lot of fun but any kid in diapers isn't much fun if you ask me. The kids are very good friends and play together all the time. They will be two school years apart but since I am homeschooling that might not really be the case.

I think that there are benefits and disadvantages to all age gaps (or no age gap!).

I knew that I wanted my kids no more than 2.5 years apart. My sister and I are 2.5 years apart and we were best buddies growing up, sometimes she was my only friend. Had we been farther apart in age I don't know how it would have been. My two oldest are almost exactly 2 years apart. They are good little buddies now and play with each other a lot, but they also fight quite a bit too. Par for the course having kids close in age.

We waited for too long on #3 and waffled back and forth about it a lot, finally having made the decision I want to get pregnant asap so that DS2 is not 4 years + older. 3 and a half still isn't that bad.

My favorite gap is my first...12 months. While the first year together was a bit rough, it got easy quick and now they are best friends. They can physically do almost everything together. I found the 18 month gap way harder between 2-3. It appears to be a huge difference.

My 2 are 28 months apart; it was a good age gap for us because older DS could do loads of things independently when DS2 was a tiny baby (and was potty trained!) and now that they are 2 and 4.5 they play really nicely together.

I think it depends on what types of kids you have - needy, jealous, bad sleepers, etc.

My 1st 2 are 2.5 years apart and DD1 was still in diapers when I had DD2 so I had 2 in diapers for a while and I found it WAY easier than running to the potty 12 times/day with a potty trained child. It was easy to have both kids at home since no one was in school although it got rough to be home a lot after a while.

My older 2 were 3.5 and almost 6 when DD3 was born. Even though they are more independent they still need things so I am pulled in a million directions. I have one in 1st grade and one in preschool so I am picking up or dropping off constantly and DD3 is not an "easy baby" so I am always afraid she will lose it in the car which she usually does.

My older 2 fight CONSTANTLY. I can't stand it. I assume it's normal but it's really frustrating. They also will play great together so I never know what to expect.

Anyway...this has taken me about 35 minutes to type for many of the reasons stated above so I'll just end it here lol. There are pluses and minuses to both imo.

The triplets were almost 2 1/2 when Jericho was born. It has been a good gap...though another 6 months could have been helpful.

We are trying on my next cycle for our LAST, I mean it this time Should it work and we have a September baby, the triplets will be 5 and Jericho will be almost 3.

Nico was 3.5 when the babies were born, and it's been a good age gap, as far as him being able to handle the new additions. They're only 7 months old now, so I'm not sure how it will translate as they get older and if they'll really all play together or not.

My boys are 25 months apart, and I absolutely love their spacing. Of course they fight sometimes, but they are best friends and want to be together every minute. My next two will be 2 1/2 years apart, and I think that spacing will be good, too.

I have two brothers, and there is 2 years between each of us. We are all still extremely close.

I love our almost-12 month gap for the girls. It was nice going through all the diapers and potty training at essentially the same time. But Keira was so super easy. If I had known how more needy a baby could be I likely would have done more to avoid getting pregnant 3-4 months PP (as it was I was on birth control so I guess we would have has to be abstinent to avoid!) Scharae was much more time and emotional consuming than Keira had been and that was hard but now, 6 years later, they are seriously the best of friends (and occasionally the worst of enemies!)

My sister and I are 4 years apart and have never gotten along.

I think 2 years is a perfect age gap. I have 2 that are 3 years apart that fight a lot, and 3 that are all a year or less apart and while the age gap isn't an issue, pregnancies that close together have more risks both to you and the baby. If you have time, it's better for your health to wait a year between pregnancies. You should really take that into account. A 2 year age gap was a good gap too, and not as much risk to health.

Lorelai and Griffin are 20 months apart and I love it and they love it. Any farther apart and it would be too far, IMO. G and Bo are almost 3 years exactly and it's too much.

My first two are 13 months apart. It was not bad at all. Except that my 13 month old wasn't walking yet and that was a bit tricky for going somewhere by ourselves. Then 15 months later I had #3. 3 under 2 was hard. I couldn't really do anything or go anywhere very easily. We also moved to Japan when I was pregnant so that made it a little tougher. I had #4 when #3 was 23 months old and I have to say it was a DREAM! She was either the best baby ever or the age gap was simply perfect. This time around my #4 will be 30 months old when we welcome the new baby and I am super happy to see how excited she is! The fact that my older girls are able to participate and are SUPER excited makes it even more fun. I would say so far the 23 month gap was best for me, but then this one seems like it is gonna be pretty great too!

My three are all 2 years apart- 23 and 26 months to be exact. It has its up and downs and I really wanted a further gap between the last two, but life had other plans. Taking 3 that close together grocery shopping is difficult. I can't do large shopping trips with them. I have E riding, Eve in her carseat across the back of the cart and then Sam walking. I never seem to remember my Ergo, but I am sure that would help me some.
