    Default The dreaded cold

It has coughs me ladies.... The dreaded winter cold. I ams ruffed up, sneezing, hoarse and have artery eyes. I am at work today and people are offering nasal spray and decongestants, I am politely declining...but I am fearful they are going to think I'm so rude when I keep saying no to everyone. I just want ot shout...I'm pregnant and this sucks!

Oh no! That is no good. I had a cold a week and a half ago, and had to call out of work one day because of it. I found that Sudafed was the best thing that helped me feel better, and my doc says that you can take that, so I relied on it to get me through the three days when I HAD to go back to work. I always rely on Zicam for colds, though, so I couldn't stand not being able to take that!

When did you start feeling sick? I hope it doesn't last too long! Hopefully you can feel good for some of the week!

I know just how you feel. I am just now starting to shake a head cold that I've had since October. It sucks to feel so icky & not be able to take any medicine for it. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the encouragement ladies... I had to laugh when I went back and read my post. Typing on the I pad leads to some, pretty funny typos at times.... I meant to say stuffed up and it came out ruffed up although at this point I am feeling a little rough. This is day one and I came home early from work, gonna try and not take anything, but still pretty stuffed (or roughed)

Not sure if you have tried this but raw honey with garlic, ginger and tumeric (which reduces inflamation) really works well for my family as well as Elderberry Syrup to boost your immune system. Oh yeah you dont eat the garlic or ginger just a tablespoon of the honey 3x a day does it for us.
