Default Weekly Updates - Nov 26th

How was your holiday weekend? What all did you do? How are you feeling? Anything going on this week?

So my weekend was very busy and we kept going and going. We saw family and took DS to the Children's Museum for Jolly Days and he had a blast. I got my hair done on saturday because I was needing it. Sunday went to go see twilight breaking dawn part 2 and I did not like it, it was worse then the 5th HP movie and reminded me why books should NOT be made into movies. My nausea picked up horribly over the weekend and it made enjoying thanksgiving food miserable. I am down 3 pounds as of today. I am constantly hungry but nothing is setting in my stomach right. I did enjoy some buttered toast this morning that sat right. I have yet to eat again after my disaster with eggs later in the morning. I am ready for my u/s on Wednesday to see how our firecracker is doing.

We also had a nice Thanksgiving and extended weekend. My DH had been gone almost the whole week before (got back late Tuesday night) so it was great to see him all day Thursday though Sunday. I also had a very hard time eating anything for Thanksgiving except the munchies beforehand and the bread at dinner. I'm also down a few pounds but that is ok with me since I am up 15 pounds thanks to the three rounds of steroids I needed in the last 6 months for that crazy allergic reaction. I certainly didn't want to be up in weight when I became pregnant but this baby is so welcome anyway! I have an ultrasound tomorrow afternoon and I really hope that we see a heart beating away. It is at my RE office so I hope that they have a great ultrasound instrument.

We had a great holiday. We told our parents and siblings that we are expecting and everyone is just over the moon with excitement, especially my parents.
I also saw breaking dawn and I kinda liked it, kinda didn't. I enjoyed the shock factor at the end.
I was feeling sick yesterday. Came close to vomitting when I smelled the sangria my DH was drinking but haven't thrown up yet. I feel much better today.

It just felt like they left out a lot of crucial details like the meeting with Jenkins and then all the different vamps who came they never really explained about them like when Bella was learning to expand her shield it started with Zap(I can't ever spell her name) who did the illusions in the mind then went on to the Denali who shocked people because she was not picking it up. Also they put Alice's vision in place of the real mini battle of strengths rather then her walking in after it. I liked the book much better.

We had a very busy Holiday weekend. We went and saw Breaking dawn 2 last Saturday, I actually really liked it. On Wednesday I went over to a friends house for the day/night and we made shirts for my boys to announce the pregnancy with. We we're going to wait until Christmas, but I got impatient LOL. My friend has an embroidery machine and we made them shirts that say: Big Brother, Bigger Brother and Biggest Brother. Then we went over to my in-laws on Thanksgiving with the boys wearing their shirts. Nobody noticed the shirts the whole time we were there, then as we were getting ready to leave MIL gave the boys a hug bye and started reading the shirts. She saw my middle sons shirt first, and then she read the youngest's shirt. She says "You're not a big brother are you?.....Is Mommy having another baby?" Both my younger boys shook their head yes and she looks at me and I said "I don't know what their talking about...Ask Dalton (DH)" Hehe...poor DH. Nothing more was said about it though, so I don't know if she thought we were just joking or what. Oh well, she'll figure it out soon enough. LOL

Thursday night at 6pm DH and I started our black friday shopping (What a nightmare...). We didn't get to leave Wal-mart until 2:30 Friday morning. We did get almost everything we went for though. Then we went home and went to bed, only to turn around and wake up at 6am to go back to Wal-mart, ToysRus, Target, gamestop and Big Lots. We got everything the boys wanted though and then some. We also got the in-laws a 32" TV and a Blu-ray DVD player. Talk about exhaustion....

My all day sickness got better for a few days, but now it's back much worse than before. Geez! Anyway, enough about us LOL

Sammi, great idea for a weekly thread!

Our Thanksgiving was nice and relaxing. We didn't do much except hang out at the in-laws' house and play with DS and the nephews. It snowed a little so DS got to play in the snow for the first time! Our winter was so warm last year that we didn't have hardly any snow so it was fun for him to see. I also had trouble eating at Thanksgiving dinner, I tried a little of everything and then paid for it the rest of the day. Ugh! I much prefer being in the 2nd tri for Thanksgiving like I was during my last pregnancy.

I have been having on and off nausea, and this morning I almost passed out standing up for a while giving a presentation for work. So embarrassing!! I think I didn't eat enough breakfast because I was nauseous, and got really dizzy and clammy. I was presenting to a group of freshman college students, not co-workers, luckily, so I won't have to see them again. Even with all of my symptoms, I am still a little nervous for my OB appt next Tuesday. I will feel much better when that is over! I will be 10 weeks that day.

I have not seen BD2 yet but will probably wait til it comes out on video. We hardly ever go to the theater anymore! I loved the Twilight books but I don't think any of the movies have come close to the depth of the books. Still fun to see what they do with it though!

We had a really nice Thanksgiving at our house. Just 10 people total and the only thing I cooked was deviled eggs Felt good enough to eat alllllll day. Totally lazed around all weekend and never left the house after lunch out on Friday. It was awesome.

Have been feeling nauseous every two hours and was eating every two hours, ugh! Feeling like a pig. It has mostly disappeared now except for in the morning. I'm supposed to do a 12 hour fast for bloodwork overnight until the morning. There is NO WAY I will make it until 10:30 in the morning without eating, oh well. I think that will only affect the blood sugar test (we do bloodwork every year to earn money for insurance's healthy lifestyle programs). Can I be nauseous until 10:30 for $50???? We shall see. Maybe if I sleep until 10 I will have a fighting chance ;) DH is giving me a personal day and staying home with DD. am going out to eat and maybe to a movie or shopping.
    Married 7/10/04.
