    Default Ultrasound today

Baby girl is doing well, she is stable and the dr said there coud possibly be less fluid. But, today it was not my normal MFM. To me, the fluid looked very similar to the last u/s. They said she is 2 lbs 5oz and in the 44th percentile. She is also head down now.

Overall, good appointment. I go back on 12/7 for another u/s.

My mom and I hit up a consignment sale when we were done to get some clothes for baby girl. I still wasn't feeling all that great at the time, but didn't want to miss my chance at some discounted clothing (which we really need)!

    Yay for a stable appointment!!!!

Did you find lots of good deals? Just curious, how long of a maternity leave will you be taking? Maybe we can plan to meet up during that time with our baby girls! I know from my last maternity leave that I will be going stir crazy if I don't get out and do things, haha. With Liam it was hard because he just cried all.the.time so I really couldn't take him anywhere. It wasn't his fault - he was obviously in pain from reflux. But I'm hoping we won't have to deal with that this time around!

So glad that things are looking good for baby girl. I know how stressful it is to see the high risk Dr. every month and I am sure you are like me and your heart is just beating outside of your chest!! I continue to pray for your sweet little girl cannot wait to hear the news of her safe arrival!

I found a lot of good deals! This one was the Just Between Friends sale and it was at the St. Charles Convention Center. I paid $3 for one sleeper, the rest of them were $2 or less. I also picked up some white turtlenecks for ds to wear to school (part of his uniform), a pair of black boots for dd and a pair of maternity jeans and a shirt for myself. I paid $70 with tax and I got a lot of stuff! Most of it was for baby girl though, becuase I just don't have much nb-12 months becuase I had gotten rid of it all. I picked up lots of sleepers becuase I know that is what she will pretty much be living in for the first few months.

I will take 8-10 weeks for maternity leave. I would love to take 12 again this time, but it's just not an option. I'll get my 6-8 weeks, plus I'll take an extra two weeks using my vacation/sick time. I would love a meet up!

Thanks Mary! Not only are the visits stressful but they seem to take forever too! I seriously think they use me as a guinea pig. When I go in, they have a less skilled u/s person scan me (usually a dr.) and then the tech comes in and scans again. I don't know if the dr is just trying to learn or if they want the dr to see the baby becuase she is a rare case?

I get this too sometimes at my high risk appointments. The tech will usually scan me first, and then they make me lay there with gel all over me until the doctor can come in, and sometimes that's 20 minutes! Are they seriously so short on gel that they can't just re-gel me if the doctor needs to look at something???

And yay for meetups. I'm sure I'll be bringing baby girl over to DH's work at some point, and that's in your neck of the woods!

I get the young, unskilled dr first. Then the tech, then my MFM will do a scan of the chest area as well.

I second the yay for meetups!

Not to mention you are laying there for an hour and they are pressing on your belly and you are about to pee your pants and oh wait, let me get the Dr. for him to do a scan too!!

for the 44th percentile! That isn't bad at all!

I am right there with you on the consignment sales! I love them for the teeny tiny stuff that they literally only wear for a week!
