    Default Offensive Comments

Now I know everyone has had to come across one offensive comment or another during your pregnancy. I thought we could share and give ourselves a little venting!!

I'll start. Over the weekend I went to a thanksgiving party at my "best" friends house. I went to use the bathroom, because that is where I live now, and she made a comment to the whole room. (8 people were there in total) She told MY HUSBAND, of all people, that I am definetly having a girl because I was such a ***** my first trimester!!!!! (I would reallllllly like to show her what I look like when I am a *****.) She was also mad because I took my SIL to an ultrasound and not her, which she found out AFTER the rude comment, but now I laugh because of course I didn't take you. And in my defense, I was not a *****, I asked EVERYONE else just to make sure that my hormones weren't that ridiculous. They said I was sad, but never nasty. (at least no more than normal, lmao)

My husband (who has seen me pregnant 4 times before) said to me, there is no way you are going to make it to the end of January because your stomach is HUGE!!!

It's ok to,give a suitable retort, you are pregnant so you have the ticket. Tell your best friend, you took after her mom! Or that's right I could eat you too only not a delicious idea. Or maybe neither will you last till January.

lol I've never really recieved any rude comments..

    Until today!

My husbands aunt asked me how pregnant I was, I told her and she looks all shocked and says "WHAT? Not even half way.. that's it? You're HUGE!" Gee thanks coming from a woman that's never had children I really value your opinion.. being extremely sarcastic by nature and currently exhausted and grouchy I couldn't stop myself from saying "Yup, the big sperm ate all the small ones" My SIL almost peed her pants laughing.. I even got a laugh out of my MIL who we were all visiting with in the hospital bed

That's too funny! I hear that I'm too big all the time. I just don't care really. Yes my belly is big but my weight gain is right on track so they can shut it! =)

I'm so gonna steal that!! The other pregnant girl at work just had her baby--she was 21 and tiny--and all I hear is how I must be having twins because I'm SO huge!! I tell them I'm having a litter of kittens

I've gotten a lot of the, "you're huge", and "OMG, are you sure your not having twins?!", which I think is rude in itself. Why tell a pregnant woman she is huge? Probably the most rude comment I've gotten so far was from my MIL, when she said, "well, maybe this baby won't be like DS", because he has autism, and she was inferring that hopefully he won't be "damaged" like our first son is.

OHHHHHH WOW! I'm sorry, that would not go over well with me at all. I wouldn't be able to handle it.
