    Default Yeah!

I got a nice surprise yesterday at my 12 week appt. when I ended up getting a quick US. Always nice to see the baby again. My Dr. told me that they can't always hear the HB at 12 weeks with the doppler, so instead of trying and having the mom worry if they can't find it, they just do a quick external US. It's amazing how the baby now looks like a baby instead of the bean at 8 weeks.

Since everything went well, we told the rest of our friends and extended family members yesterday. It's nice to have more people to share in the joy with us.

Are we all done with the first trimester now? I know it has to be getting close.

This is something new they did at my 11W appt too, I remember with my other two pregnancies the angst of trying and trying for 10+mins to find the heartbeat at 11W and finally getting it..this time she tried for a second or two and then just took me to the US room. It was awesome, quick but awesome.
