Default Ultrasound and doctor appt today

I had a hard time sleeping last night thinking about my doctor appointment and US today. I am nervous they will find something wrong because I take medication for my epilepsy. Hopefully everything will look great and I can't believe I am really becoming a mother! It seems like everything is happening so fast!

US went great. Baby was awake and active and didn't want to sit still for pictures. All was normal but the US tech said they don't screen for neural tube defects like spinal bifida until 16 weeks. I didn't get to see my doctor bc he had to go deliver a baby but he called me after and said everything was good. I told him about the bad taste in my mouth and he said it is not a sign of anything serious and hopefully it will pass.

Mine is tomorrow.. I'm really nervous!

lol its so funny that your doc was away delivering a baby, last night I had a dream that mine was during my appt and I had to reschedule. I was so angry because I live an hour away from the office.

GL tomorrow! I will be thinking of you!

I am so glad my doctor's office was just really calm about it. I had the US and they told me the doctor had gone to deliver a baby but he would call me tonight (and he did) and I would be scheduled to see him at 16 weeks.

Ok, I can type more now on the computer. My baby looked like a little jumping bean bouncing all over the place and even did a flip! DH said "you can't feel any of that?" because I don't feel anything. I think the tech said the placenta is in the back-right side so I might not feel it till 18-20 weeks. The heartrate was 160 which is down from the last US which was 180. She also estimated my due date as 4/17 or 4/18 instead of 4/14 that was initially calculated.

When my doctor called he asked me if Linda (the US tech) gave me her gender guess and I said "No! I didn't know she could do that!" She didn't ask us if we wanted to know. I don't even remember her looking between the legs at all. Anyway, now I know to ask when I go back at 16 weeks on the 29th.

I am starting to have mixed feelings now. I was feeling confident that I am having a girl but for some reason after yesterday, I am wavering towards a boy.

I got one 2D pic and two 3D pics. I will post later.

I remember my 12 week ultrasound with DS and he was like that doing flips literally, this one was so different, it was just lounging there super relax and doing very gentle moves. I wonder if it does have to do with the sex of the baby.
