First Appointment

You probably remember about my OB problem since the OB group that delivered my two other babies wouldn't accept any maternity patients. Anyway, I had my first appointment with a new group this morning, and it went really well.

This group has both doctors and midwives, and the midwife today spent over an hour just sitting and talking with me about my medical history, pregnancies, etc. I loved that she didn't seem rushed or hurried.

Anyway, I think it's a blessing in disguise that my previous group wasn't accepting patients. I really think this practice offers more attentive care. Oh, and I get a dating ultrasound next Tuesday! I've never had an US prior to 12 weeks, so I'm praying that I'll see a precious little beating heart and be able to relax a little.

That's great, this is exactly what happened to me when I was denied by my old practice. I moved on and found a place I was even more happy with. I LOOOOOVE midwife practices! They are the best option because it's easier to get in for appts. I saw my actual OB a handful of times but really I saw the midwife mainly and it worked out great.
