Amnio test. FISH results to follow hopefully Saturday!
The test was uncomfortable. I get what you were saying Missy about it feeling like the needle was still in for a while! That was weird! They ended up having to stick me a few times (6). They had to go in from the top because I have a few fibroids on the front side of my uterus. So guess where baby wanted to sit and chill all day? Yeah, so they kept poking and shaking her to get her to move and she totally would, just until they got the needle in and then she'd come right back and they would withdraw.The next to the last stick she was in a great spot but my uterus was stressed and when they put the needle in I had a massive contraction! So they withdrew again. I was glad for that one because I thought that it was gonna rip my uterus apart! They let she and I just chill out for about 20 minutes before they tried again and the 6th time was a charm! So.. now we wait! FISH results are expected Saturday (tomorrow) but I am not gonna hold my breath. They did say that even if the result comes back negative for Downs that there is still a chance that the heart issue is independent of downs and will still have to figure out what is going on. There is also the possibility that the heart will "catch up" and there won't be any issue at all. We should see some improvement on my next U/S (Sept 27 then Oct 5) if that is the case.
Fingers crossed for a boring second half of this so-far-crazy pregnancy!!!

Still waiting, though not so patiently. The geneticist gave me her cell number and I am SUPER tempted to call and just ask.. 
Also that the baby is in fact a little girl! 
...I'm so very very happy for you...that's wonderful!
