    Let's try this again...

    Me - Gina, 35
What I do - project manager
    Other kids - two dogs
    BFP Date: 10/11/12
How did you tell SO? the night before, DH and I had been joking about my "new cleavage" which I was writing off as PMS water weight. The next morning as I prepped my shower, realized that things should have started by now, so I took the last test of a multipack that had been under the sink for a while. and then stared at the two lines showing. Had no idea what to say, so I got in the shower to think and get ready for work. Got out of the shower and walked into the living room in my towel (hadn't even put in my denture yet, which is ALWAYS right after the shower). Got the "What's up" look and said "Ummm... yeah... we appear to be pregnant." After some laughing and terror (we were not expecting to be first time parents at 36 and 40), I added - "but hey, at least you get to keep the cleavage!"

    Due date - June 21
First Doctor Appointment: blood draw 10/11, ultrasound 11/12, actually see my nurse practitioner 12/3
Do you want to know the sex YES
Does DH want to know the sex yes
    Gender Guess: no clue
Have you told anyone yet? lots - I'm really bad at secrets
Symptom list: sharp sense of smell, tender/swollen breasts, several weeks of constant nausea, constipation, sore hips and lower back
Any names picked out? not yet, though a boy's middle name will be Rodney - DH's family tradition gives the boy his pat. grandfather's name as his middle
What's your TTC Story? We had entirely given up. I was SUPPOSED to be getting my annual well woman on 10/29 and starting to talk about a hysterectomy because my endometriosis (for which I had surgery last Nov) had been coming back and making me really miserable again. Due to some renewed focus on our relationship and some improvements in DH's sleep, we'd been spending a lot more time "together" lately, with the rather predictable results that we got. Hooray for God having a sense of humor.
Anything else you'd like to add? I really feel blessed. We miscarried in Nov. 2009 (on Black Friday, in fact), so I had a LOT of stress over the weekend, but we got through, and I have had 3 whole days without nausea, which feels amazing (though I'm still tired). Having crazy dreams, particularly when the stress is highest, but taking it one day at a time.
