    Default Name Lists?

I looked and couldn't find a name list for our group. Do you guys want to brain storm with me and see if we can find some nice ones to pick from?

I'm having the hardest time choosing a name for our first girl!

    So far I like:

    ~GIRL~ .................. ~BOY~
    Clementine ................. Truman
    Greta ................ Forrest
    Etta ............... Harrison
    Josephine ................ Oscar

Any old timey name ideas for our baby girl are greatly appreciated!

Since you are specifically looking for more old fashioned names, I'm trying to recall my great grandparents names and some great aunts...

    Irene
    Nadine
    Doris
    Ruby
    Beatrice

Not saying these are ideal names, but they are the ones I could think of off the top of my head!

How cute! Well I LOVE the name Forest and I think Josephine. I know they were not matched up but those were my two favorite names They are all great though. DH and I love the older names as well. I can't really think of any off the top of my head but I'll come back if I do think of one

I love the name Josephine and you could call her Josie!

Just to clarify, I'm having a girl. I was just throwing the boy names out there for the list's sake.

Feel free to add any names you can think of to the lists!

I adore the name Josephine with Josie as a nn!

Umm, let's see here - I'm going to list grandparents/great-grandparents (Like Missy did) and also trying to think of Liam's daycare classmates...

Since your'e having a girl, I'll focus on girl names. Although there is a toddler boy in his class named Atticus, and I LOVE that name!

Rose, Rosemary, Rosalie, Hattie, Ruth, Jane, Della, Doris, Beatrice/Bea, Bernadette/Bernie, Emmaline, Harper...that's all I've got for now!

I love Ruby and Beatrice, thanks for adding those Missy. I have a great-grandma Ruby and I completely forgot!

This morning I thought of Murphy -boy or girl. I think it is totally cute for a girl, my husband won't go for it but maybe one of you guys will use it.

LOVE Hattie but so disappointed to learn Tori Spelling named her little girl that...I know it shouldn't matter but it kind of ruins it for me.

Ruby was one of my favorite of my grandma's sisters. Beatrice (Aunt Bea) was my great grandma's sister. She was the sweetest old lady and I loved her to death. She passed at 95 yrs (I think?) when I was in high school. She couldn't have any children, so she loved on all of us!

I just had to laugh at the name Hattie, but only becuase I have an association with it. I lived in a very small town (100 people) growing up and Hattie was our neighbor's name. She was a very mean!!! Loved playing with her grandkids though!

For me, names are all about the association I have with them. If Beatrice was my style, I would have totally named one of my dd's after her. I always wanted to name a dd after my mom but my mom's name is Alma. That's not quite my style either.

If this baby ends up a girl we are really leaning toward Ruby, it's my DH birthstone and it's just cute!

I also like Violet, Iris, Josephine, Emmaline, Hazel, Alice, Cecilia, Victoria and Charlotte.

GOOD LUCK! Congrats on your baby girl

I am partial to Cecilia - that's my 3 yr olds name
And Ruby is my niece's name.
    I approve of all those!

I am adding Henrietta Pearl to our list. I love the nickname Hattie, and I've decided if I name her the original (it was a nickname for Henrietta or Harrietta) then I won't feel like we're following Tori Spelling! And we could call her Etta which I love love love.

Pearl is a definite for middle name because it means rare and precious, which this little girl is.
