Ok I have to know how you make homemade ginger ale. My stomach has been so upset and I've been drinking the store bought ginger ale but I'd love to know how to make my own!

I want to know how to make homemade gingerale too! Of course, if it's time consuming, I probably won't end up making it, but it sounds like a good idea.

babydream - Black beans and chocolate would be weird together, if you could taste the beans. They just taste like regular brownies, though. As for the nutrition, I was curious awhile back, so I plugged the recipe into a calculator, and this is what I got. I used canola oil in this recipe, and said there were 16 servings (because I cut them into 16 brownies, but then, I usually eat more than 1 serving anyway). Obviously it would be a little different if you used a different oil, but it should still give you an idea:

ETA: Sorry, I didn't realize that my nutritional label was going to come out so huge! It looked nice and small until it actually posted.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday! My DH came home from work at noon today and surprised me with flowers for our 6th anniversary. Best of all, the flowers had a card with them that said to get ready for a date tonight because he had already found a babysitter.

Thanks, ladies! He's a keeper. We had a nice, relaxing evening. Our nights out are few and far between these days, so it was a really nice treat.

So glad you two had a good night!!

I feel so fat today lol .... I don't fit in my jeans anymore . Well, not that I don't fit but they are just uncomfortable . I need to find some sweats or something that are acceptable in public! I don't think dbf would like me to wear pjs everywhere hahahah.

Also, does anyone get tired of people asking how they are feeling EVERYDAY?! Ugh . Lol oh well.

I am always telling my husband i need him to do more in the house with me bc i do it all down to the bills except the obvious man things - but he goes thru phases where he helps for a bit more around the house and then slacks and then i need to ask again etc the normal routine...

so today he thinks he is funny and sends me an article on how divorce rates are higher when couples share the household work! LMAO

    Congratulations LaurainFL!!!

NHKate: thanks for the info, I will give it a try for sure!!

Here goes the homemade ginger ale recipe, it´s delicious!!

    Ingredients

    Serves 4

2 cups fresh ginger cut into 1/8-in slices (about 2 large “handfuls")

    2 cups sugar

    4 cups water

1 qt club soda, well chilled

    1 lime, quartered

    Directions

First, you’ll need to make a ginger syrup. Combine the ginger, 2 cups of the sugar, and the water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until syrupy or reduced by half, for 40 to 50 minutes. The syrup will thicken as it cools so don’t over-reduce it. Strain the syrup and reserve the ginger.

To make ginger ale, fill four 8-ounce glasses with club soda. Pour 2 tablespoons of the ginger syrup down the side of each glass. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of each glass.

Hope you enjoy it!! have a wonderful week!!

I feel like someone hooked me up to a life force sucking machine through my eyeball sockets. Seriously...this level of exhaustion is unparalled to anything I have ever felt before...and my entire eye cavity hurts!!! The nausea is tapering a bit (thank god), but its been replaced by god-awful exhaustion. At this point, I am like a narcaleptic. I could fall asleep at any given moment doing anything...even typing...zzzzzzzzzzz

I hear ya. I definitely think the fatigue has been worse this time around. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I am trying to chase 2 little boys around all day!

My nausea kicked in full force today!! It got really unbearable around 1:30'ish. Never actually got sick, but at times I thought I might actually feel better if I did get sick.

I'm so excited/nervous about my ultrasound tomorrow!!! Please send good thoughts and prayers. My appointment isn't until 2:30... So I will be sure to let you know how many heart beats we see! Belly is growing in full force... Lol!! Eeek!!!

    Any update from Brandles??

So although I still am worried because of my losses...I was comforted by the fact that I thought a peanut butter filled pretzel nugget should be dipped into whipped cream cheese....not only thought it...but did it. OMG was soooooo good. But I feel this proves my bean is taking over my body...lol. My DH was mortified at the sight, and normally I would be too!
