Default My appointment on Friday ....

I have two things. The first is regarding a cyst the tech said I had on my left ovary. I asked if it was anything to worry about and she said no. It explains the cramping on that side. When does it become something I should worry about? I seems like now that I know about it, the cramping is more obvious. I have read horror stories about cysts getting to be the size of cantaloupes and its freaking me out. I don't think I've ever had a cyst before, at least not one I knew about. Are they dangerous during pregnancy or common ?

Another thing is that the placenta is covering my cervix right now. I go back in 5 weeks to see if its changed at all. I've read that women diagnosed with placenta previa at 20w will go on to have a normal delivery... But I'm scared to death of a csection! I really wanted to do everything naturally. I am not too worried about it because its so early, I'm just more scared of the thought of having a csection !

Ok that's all, the tech said she "has a good looking brain" lol so I'm happy for that!!

I had both, the cyst on the left side and the csec. The cyst vanished after my first pregnancy! And the csec was a breeze, I was chatting with the anesthetist all the while they were operating me,

Do not worry and do not read too much on the net, ask your med for clarifications!

I agree c- sec is a breeze - your wide awake unless you choose not to be ....but your significant other is there as well and its easy --- i agree i wanted to do it all naturally but with an EPI but unfortunately i had to a csec for medical reasons prior to pregnancy - and i was lucky enough to have my water break and feel labor pains! pushing was just out of the question....

but i had a syst as well and it went away

If i need a csection, I'll need a csection. It wasn't my original plan (of course does anything ever work in our favor lol) ... but what I'm asking is has anyone had experience with placenta previa that resolved on its own? I hope that if I need a csection though it isn't something that's just thrown on me.. I hope I'm given some time to adjust to the idea of having one.

I have had cysts before. They ruptured, but this was all before I was pregnant. Ive never had a c section, but I, too, am afraid of that. THey said today my baby is still breech, but I'm still early enough that he can turn...so we'll see. I will be praying for you though.

My mom actually had placenta previa with me that they did not realize until I was born...I did not have any issues. I did have seizures as a kid from about 2-9 but one probably has nothing to do with the other.

I had a cyst rupture with my last son, it was painful and caused some really stressful bleeding that was almost like a regular period. I basically had a nervous breakdown but after it ruptured I felt great.

I have a cyst this time as well on my left ovary it causes me a lot of discomfort but hasn't grown at all since 8W it's just hanging out there. The cyst is probably caused by your ovulation for the egg on this baby.. that's what they said mine was from.

I've had cystic ovaries my whole life basically and had really serious PCOS in my late teens early 20s and struggled to concieve.. They can be painful but if the techs/doctors aren't concerned I wouldn't worry. They know what to look for and consider the blood flow that is being given to the cyst to decipher if they are going to be causing issues. SORRY ABOUT THE DISCOMFORT I totally understand.. mine always hurts after a long day of running around or bending a lot. I use a heated rice bag and it does the trick while I'm relaxing in the evening.
