    Default Polyhydramnios

That's what I was diagnosed with at my 19 week appt on Monday. High fluid levels. Draining the fluid is too risky and I don't know if I can take the medication available for it due to other medications I'm on and medical problems.

This has caused me constant progressive pain and pressure. And I'm huge. My son is now at an even greater risk than before of IUGR and other complications. My chances of even making it to 37 weeks aren't very likely from where I stand right now.

I'm so sorry. That sounds painful and scary. I have no experience with it but I know a sept mom just delivered after going through that too and she was super uncomfortable. I know they didn't drain the fluid.

I talked to my cousin the other day who had it with several of her kids. She tried the draining but it never worked. Neither did the meds. She was "lucky" though and hers didn't get bad level wise until she was farther along so she had a few late preemies and the others where just at 37 weeks.

Mine being caught early is good but my body stature alone complicates things because there already wasn't much room for baby to grow. Now with the extra fluid he has even less room to grow which can cause IUGR.

I go back in two weeks to check on things again. I feel so defeated. I just want to make it to 25 weeks I'm scared I won't.

...I'm so sorry Cayla (((HUGS)))!!! You're going through so much ...you're on my heart often!

Praying your baby boy continues to thrive and that there will be no IUGR or NICU stay.

How is his growth right now...is he handling it well? Did they say why you might be producing too much fluid?? Are they running more diagnostic tests to determine a cause?

I had polyhydramnios with my first...it's miserable!

He's behind in growth but he is healthy so far otherwise. From his standpoint, baby looks good just behind.

We ran some tests on me but just the same things we already knew I was abnormal in came back abnormal. So my protein, iron, and thyroid. All things I had wrong going on with my other babies. Right now it's a mystery.

Since amniocentesis is out and I have to wait to see if I can even safely take the medicine for this, all I can do is hope it fixes itself. I know I'm running out of options and when I am out of options, it will be a goal to keep Gabriel in until he hits IUGR or my womb becomes to dangerous for him. Or something goes way south with my health and he has to be born so we are both safe.

The pain and pressure this has cause is honestly sometimes unbearable. I had some contractions last night that had me in tears.
