    Default Upcoming Appointments?

I know we're all getting to that stage where we'll have the mid-pregnancy ultrasounds. I'm not finding out the sex (though I'm tempted to peek ) but I know a lot of you are. Who's got appointments this coming week? I go Monday for my 2-hour glucose test, then the MFM appointment (I believe it's another anatomy U/S), then the GI doc Thursday, then the OB the following Monday for another U/S and the results of the glucose and 24-hour urine test. (fun)

Wow that's a lot in one week! I don't have anything else coming up until my next OB appt mid September, unless they call me with any tests to take at Labcorp. I'm calling on Monday just to make sure I haven't missed anything.... I thought I'd need a glucose test soon.... not sure though.

Yeah, it's a lot, and I forgot about the blood test for my endocrinologist too.

I think the glucose test is normally at 26 weeks. Mine is early because they suspect pre-e. Congrats again on your baby boy! My son has always been the loving, low-maintenance, snuggly one

Wow that's a lot of test!
We went yesterday for the complete ultrasound, everything was great and we found out we're having a GIRL we were kind of hoping for a girl, especially hubby. I was so prepared for a boy though that it was shocking to hear.
So all is well with the bebe, but I've been having horrible heart "thumping" that my dr. wants me to go see a heart specialist. Last night it was so bad I couldn't sleep. I think I was also more nervous about it too, cause I felt that my dr was seriously concerned about it and sent out some blood work and told me to call back first thing on mon. So now I can't stop myself from thinking about it.
Has anyone else ever had this pounding heart "thing"?

Yes, but it was anxiety. They didn't find anything physically wrong. Tests are to rule it all out, just keep that in mind. That's what I keep telling myself about all of my tests.

Yes we are Im so excited! But I'm more nervous for the actual anatomy scan. They said everything looked great at the 12 week u/s so I'm hoping it will be same news.

Thank you for reminding me of that.
Stressing about it is definitely not going to help the issue. I've been feeling much better today and tomorrow will find out the results

I go in once a week for my progesterone shots, my next actual full apt isn't until early September, if everything keeps going well. Then at the beginning of October I will start going in for weekly NST.

Things have been going well so far so i'm hoping it stays that way.

Nothing for me til 9/7 when we have our next OB appt followed by the anatomy scan. I *think* we've decided to find out the sex.

I'm at my 2-hour glucose test right now...the flavor of the day is....drum roll please....orange! Ewwwww!! After I get through with this, I get to see the baby at my MFM appointment!

Hey LandryQueen, I'm right there right with you on the appointments. I have the OB, MFM, endocrinologist, and now the gastroenterologist too. UGH!!

52 minutes until my next glass of hummingbird nectar...

    It was gross

It also seems that I've developed an allergy to the adhesive on the hypoallergenic paper tape. The lab tech says it happens sometimes, and to request they use bandages from now on, and to take them off as soon as the bleeding stops.

Baby looks good. I got a scare when the MFM head Dr came in to re-check the heart, but he says it looks fine, and they would probably further reduce my Downs risk to 1 in 1000. I'll post a pic later...right now I need food and a nap
