Smile Well, pumped for the first time (this time around)...

and I have now been refreshed on how much I hate pumping. DS is two weeks old today and has been nursing well. He's been sleeping for 3-4+ hour stretches at night lately, and tonight slept from about 9:30p-3am. Naturally by then I needed some relief! He nursed for about 40 minutes total (dozing off here and there) and then I put him back to bed. I still felt pretty full on the left since he'd only nursed there for less than ten minutes, so I figured now was as good of a time as any to start trying to empty my breasts and work on my freezer stash. I got about 2 oz from the left and 1 from the right from pumping for 10 minutes. So, it's a start. My nipples hurt a little now, but I know they are still working on toughening up anyhow.
