Default Tommee Tippee Double Electric Pump

Anyone used this? I am planning to BF and need pump advice. I have heard great things about their bottles, but wondered if anyone knows how their pumps are!

I have the medela freestyle and I love it! The size looks like the Tommee Tippee. Does the TT have to be plugged in? or can it stand alone? We use the TT bottles, but I have not used the pump though.

The TT does not need to be plugged in, the batteries can be recharged. The TT has a silicone insert that goes into the horn, does the freestyle have that? It looks like it would make the horn more comfortable.

When I first got the pump, the horns were silicone and formed with my breasts, but I realized that I needed a bigger size. They had stopped production of them since they do not do well with extreme heat (sanitizing), they wear out over time, and for me they did allow the suction to be not as tight. So I have the normal plastic ones now. I did notice an increase in supply right away, but I'm not sure if it was the new horns or the size of the horns. Personally I can't tell the difference on my breasts of the plastic or silicon ones. If you have the right fit for horns, they don't rub your nipple they are just touching the outside of your breast if that makes sense.

That makes sense. I have larger boobs than I used to and was wondering about that. I got those lily pad silicone shields and they fit kind of funnily, I think they are meant for less endowed ladies. Glad to hear that there are different sized horns. They look more comfy, but if that reduces supply its not worth it to me! I am nervous about BF, I will be a newbie at this and do not want to do things that reduce supply. Thanks for your help! Good to "see" you again!

I have large breasts. I had the lacatation consultant help with sizing for my bras (which I purchased at the hospital) and the fitting of the horns.

Oh good idea! I hadn't thought about asking for help with that!

It was Imgoober06, I changed it to Camalamamama a while back when I was active, but I have been gone almost three years or so. I left facebook too, so I have really been out of the loop with APAers.
