    Default Could I be pregnant

Ok, I need some advise ladies!

I am very irregular with my menstrual cycles after becoming ill a few years and losing a lot of weight - I got my period last month and after talking with my husband we decided to try to conceive after this current months menstrual cycle - Well I was due for my period about 2 weeks ago but when I didn't get it we kept trying. I still haven't gotten it and the PT came back negative - Could it be possible to have conceived and it's still too early to tell? If I go the OBGYN will a blood test give positive results sooner? I have severe breast tenderness, not to disclose TMI but a white thick discharge - I am nauseous all day - I know that these all can also be symptoms of your period - I just wanted some female thoughts? Have any of you experienced this and it was positive?

Thank you so so so much -

If your cycles are irregular it's such a difficult thing (been there, done that). You can't really know if you are "late" for sure because you don't know when/if you ovulated. I would definitely keep trying this cycle, and if it becomes excessively long with no positive test, call the doctor and see if you can either get a blood test or something to start your period.

I hope you're pregnant - but if you aren't, you should definitely start charting your cycles so you can determine when/if you ovulated. OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) are also very useful. There is a sticky in the TTC room that explains the basics of charting, and the ladies on here are happy to help with specifics after that.

    Good luck.
