Default I think I'm having twins!!!! 21 year old female first time (had a miscarriage once)

Hi!!!! I'm Paige and I'm 21 and I just found out I was pregnant July 30th. My last period was July 1st (no.. still haven't got it :-) definitely pregnant) I had my first blood test done Friday the 3rd and just got the results back today... so by now they should be quatruple/five times this number!!!!!!! I've been married two years and with my husband three years ^__^ I reposted this from my due date thread in April as I didn't even notice this part of the forum existed!

I'm so excited I think I might be having twins I was wondering if anyone could give me any other insight.. my HCG levels are through the ROOF! 638 at 3.5 weeks, today marks 4 weeks and I'll have my second set of numbers tomorrow!!! I have been trying to conceive for a while and when I finally fell pregnant I unfortunately had a miscarriage ... now I fell pregnant, everything is going perfect, but now I think I'm having TWINS!! I read this is common among women who have had miscarriages their first time and fell pregnant the second. There are triplets on my husbands side and twins on my side!! My prepregnancy weight was 110 and when I went to the doctor July 31st I weighed 113. Today, 8-6-12, I weigh 117!!!! :-)

My breasts get bigger by the day, and I can see my body getting ready to hold something big. I'm not gaining weight per say, but expanding if that makes sense!!! Ovulation calculator tells me I'm due April 2nd-7th My birthday is May 4th!! :-) I used to be a 34A until about 3 days ago, now I can barely fit in a 34C. I'm opting for really really light bathing suit tops cause they hurt so bad as well. I took this picture yesterday, but they have already increased immensely.. I was a size 0/XS.. now I'm a small and I don't even bother with sized clothes like that anymore lol

Does anyone have any experience with twins in their first trimester??? I want to sleep all the time, I used to stay up until 4 a.m. and now I'm passing out around 9/10 and waking up at 7 full of energy but then it drastically decreases throughout the day and I can't be in public for too long otherwise I get extremely sick and lightheaded. I'm eating, taking vitamins, keeping food down, having normal symptoms, no abnormal cramping or bleeding like I did with my last pregnancy which was a miscarriage, and it's so weird I only can eat healthy food cause I don't want my baby(ies) to be succumbed to McDonalds!!!! Lol :-) Any information is appreciated. I was very unhealthy when I miscarried and that has not been the case for months so I'm really excited to have even fallen pregnant and stay pregnant!

Also, I read high levels like this indicate a girl from other parenting websites. I know it's not a definite or even a good indicator, I just mean women who have had girls had higher levels like this also, and/or twins :-) I will post my second HCG level tomorrow, which will be 5 days from my first level of 638...so praying for a really high number Again I know the HCG levels aren't indicators on their own, and an ultrasound is really the only way, but my books and websites and family history all point to twins! Fingers crossed anyway

    TY!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds totally possible. I'm 31weeks with b/b twins...the first trimester I gained weight and was in maternity clothes by week 12. My hcg wasn't elevated but everyone is different!

Thank you so much!!!!! Eee I know this isn't definite but it would be so amazing so I posted here too specifically so other twin mommys could give me their opinion! Congrats soo much on your boys!!! I really hope I have a girl or I have to return a lot of Juicy Infant things... lol.. You just have that feeling you know? I had it when I had a miscarriage (before I knew I had one and later found out I really did), and I have it about twins and a girl now! My husband said when we first found out "what if we had twins?", and everytime he calls something like that, it happens! My symptoms and levels are only making me think that more ^_^ But no worries either way, I'm blessed to even have fallen pregnant with one

Thanks again and have a great pregnancy also :-) You're almost done!!! Twins usually come a bit earlier right?

When do u go in for your early ultrasound? You should be able to see both sacs early on. We saw two blinky hearts at 6weeks.

I don't have money to afford it yet :-( The hospital told me they would do an ultrasound but aren't really allowed to tell me that and would just give me hints to come in etc.. waiting to do medicaid as the ob/gyn is $750 :-( I wanted to get an early u/s soo bad but I don't want to spend that much for no reason :-( We have it, and we'd spend it in a heartbeat if we were more certain :-(

You are due sooo soon!! Have an EXCELLENT delivery :-) and please let me know how delivering two goes... haha!

TMI but I read this is common with twins in early pregnancy.. I have really bad constipation now and have to pee like every 20 minutes

I'll have a c-section and unfortunately have had complications. So I'm trying to make it to 34 weeks we shall see... If I make it there I'll go for 35...if I'm allowed..,depends on what is best for the babies.
However, so many twin moms don't have any! Many twins are born around 37weeks which is considered full term, but abt 50% deliver earlier. It just depends.
No dont pay for an ultrasound.., I'm assuming you'll get one around the 8-10weeks mark as part of your first visit you'll know soon enough and either way it's wonderful!

oh no i'm sorry to hear about your complications!!! it sounds like your doctor will do whatever to make sure they come out healthy though which is great i kind of booked one already.. I found a place that would do one for $150 plus the new patient fee of $150 so $300.. I'll be on medicaid next week so I want to spend the cash and see a sac or maybe two :-) I know I'm far along enough to see atleast one!!
