Why are all the foods that I am craving "no no" pregnancy foods. Tuna, shrimp, hot dogs, deli meat, Coke, coffee, tea!

Yesterday all I wanted was buttered noodles from Noodles and Company and a banana nut muffin from Costco. As soon as I find my Costco card, I am going to get some!

Check out the fish info on APA - we can have some fish and shellfish in moderation. I had some salmon last night and it was delish! Good for brain development, too.

My morning sickness seems to get worse when I eat at night. I have been trying to sleep it off.

Peppermint Tea...... I cannot live without it. I have at least 2 cups a day. It's instant cure for a sore stomach. INSTANT! It's annoying drinking it on a hot day (I do anyways, because it works!) but I'm drinking it every night.

Hey yumenut - I'm not really in this due date group...I'm 13 w 3 days now, due late Feb, but I was checking your posts out since we are so close in due dates and my babies always come late. Your salt craving caught my eye. Do you feel dizzy sometimes? Like when you first stand up or if you change positions too quickly? Or maybe just standing in the kitchen and wam bam, suddenly your visions goes a little tunnelly and you get lightheaded? If you have any of these symptoms it is probably low blood pressure. Your blood volume is increasing so rapidly right now that you need more iron, protein, and yes sometimes SALT.

I was actually prescribed salt tablets at one point (this is my 5th pregnancy) for low blood pressure. The technical term they use is orthostatic hypotension. But most women experience this at some point in their pregnancy. If your body says eat salt, then honey- Eat the salt. It's better than fainting if you jump out of bed too fast!

As for drinking something to balance it out, have you tried adding lime or lemon and honey to your water. Ginger root is also very good for your upset tummy and makes gross water tastes a bit more palatable.

I wish all you ladies a happy healthy pregnancy!!

Congrats on your baby! I may jump into the Feb DD group because I'm having a planned c-section and will likely go in late Feb.

To answer your question, yes, I was dizzy all the time. The only relief I got was lying down and it still didn't stop completely. I feel much better now and I'm able to drink some water but I still crave salt so I'm rolling with it and eating salt. I have vertigo too so that doesn't help!

Several pp have mentioned adding lemon and other things to my water. It hasn't helped much. My drink of choice right now is Gatorade. I can't get enough of it!

Thanks for the info. I go in for the nuchal Testing on Tuesday so I'll bring up my issues and make sure nothing serious is going on.

Thanks for this info! My non pregnant BP is normally 80/60, I haven't been in yet to see what I am at now. I have had a lot of dizziness getting up in the last couple weeks, I will be sure to ask about this when I go in.

I am! Thank you so much for checking up on me The nausea is a lot better and I am able to eat all day no problem....BUT I haven't been able to eat dinner for about 4 days now. I'm hungry, but nothing sounds good and that nasty metallic taste seems to come around night time now.

So right now my go to thing is OJ. I am drinking SOOO much OJ! I can't get enough of it! I never, ever, ever drink OJ, but right now I'm drinking it like crazy. I think I might go pour myself a glass right now! lol! Oh and Chinese food from wholefoods. Crazy cravings!

    How are you feeling??

OJ is great! It's really the only thing I can drink that doesn't make me want to gag.

I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better! I'm on an OJ kick myself....I had a huge glass this morning. I seem to do better with liquids than foods (except water).

I've been feeling good, still a little tired. I woke up today and had a lot of activity so I'm feeling a little ill. Getting ready to catch a flight to Miami for my 1st trimester testing! YAY!

Ugh, I just got a salad from Wendy's and I think I ate a bad tomato. One of them was all mushy looking ( I didn't eat that one). Hope I don't get a bug or something.
