Hi,

So I finally have my first official OB appointment on Monday. (My ticker isn't working correctly - I am 8w6d today).

They are doing a "viability sonogram" - which I know is their standard language but really freaks me out. Especially since I have already seen the heartbeats at the RE's office - 153 bpm and 148 bpm. I assume they just want to do the sonograms at their own office for their records. Also they said that they allow 45 minutes or so for each sonogram so for twins I should expect an hour and a half just for the sonogram. (???)

I am so confused - what could they possibly spend 45 minutes looking at when I will only be 9w3d? Don't get me wrong, I will be SO happy to see my little beans!! It makes me so nervous that I've not seen them for over a week. I am a natural worrier - I wish I had a way to check in with them anytime!

I have no reason to think anything is wrong - mild cramping (probably due to TERRIBLE constipation, sorry TMI) and no spotting. Also SO VERY tired. I took a 3 hour nap today and will still be heading to bed early.

Anyway, just wanted to check in and find out if anyone has had any experience with "viability sonograms"??

TIA!
