Did your doctor confirm that you weren't pregnant before starting that birth control? If they did, it is very likely that all of your symptoms are due to the birth control. It can take a while for your body to get used to any form of hormonal birth control.

If your doctor confirmed you weren't pregnant and your period was already late, it's highly unlikely a pregnancy was missed. If your period had NOT been late it would be more likely. Birth control can cause late and missed periods, bloating, cravings, hunger-basically everything early pregnancy can cause. If you're real concerned I'd take another test and double check with your doctor, but it's highly unlikely.

Did you Doctor do a blood test or a urine test?
I would schedule another Doctor's appointment.
