Default Preservative free - where to start?

We've noticed a change in behavior when DD eats frankenfoods. We asked the pedi and she strongly recommended going preservative free.

Where do I start? I try to give her some whole foods (usually fruit) but what else can I give a kid who loves nutragrain bars and yogurt? She's 3 so tough to eat raw veggies aren't really something we can do just yet. I need some ideas for quick snacks besides fruit because I work full time.

I am gluten and sugar free but she can have these things without a problem. We have a Whole Foods in town and are getting a Trader Joe's in a couple of weeks so i have access to stores that carry this stuff.

I feel like I should know this and feel stupid for asking.

    TIA ladies!

Try Chobani greek yogurt. I'm almost positive that it doesn't have anything artificial in it and it's very tasty.

What about cheese? I think oscar mayer just started a line called selects that has deli meats that are preservative free.

Have you made your own granola bars? We're GF here also and I make some excellent granola bars that the kids and my husband love. They use honey instead of sugar I believe and the only preservatives would be if you used chocolate chips but I usually put in raisins or dried cherries.

I second making your own bars. We are also gluten free and I make a really simple gluten free oat bar with just peanut butter and honey.
