First u/s scheduled for Thurs Aug 2 at 1:30pm!! I'm really REALLY hoping it goes well because at 4pm we have the final walkthrough of our new house that we're taking possession of on the 10th!!

I have a "follow-up" u/s on wed.....when I went in last wed all we could see was the sac so hopefully this time there will be a heartbeat

I have a followup ultrasound this Wed. I went last Monday and all we could see was the gest sac and yolk sac. Praying we have a nice strong heartbeat this time!!!

CamaLamaMama - it all depends on your doctor and your situation. I'm high risk so my doc sees me immediately after getting a BFP to start testing for HCG levels. As soon as my levels get to 1500, he does an U/S to make sure it's not ectopic.

My next U/S is August 21st in Miami. I'm so excited to be flying back to the US for a few days. I'll be doing the first trimester testing so I'm definitely nervous.

I havent gotten a call back yet about the results of my u/s last wed so I called this morning. I know theres a hb and all but I thought it was weird that no one called me. Anyway I scheduled my "first" ob app today, they make you see this nurse beforehand to go over med history and whatnot and then see a dr. They usually do it around 8wks which for me would be this week!!!!!! But the soonest they can "fit" me in is the 20th! HOLY CRAP, the nice lady I talked to said she would send a note back to the dr and see if he can squeeze me in sooner, so now its just a wait game to hear back bout that *sigh*

This is my second, but I am using a different OBGYN. I think I will be like 11 weeks by the time I go in! Good luck with your ultrasound!

I hope you get in sooner! The soonest they could get me in was the 23rd, which is my daughters first day of kindergarten, so I had to bump mine until the 27th!

Well I got a call back early this morning from the OB office and they said that they can squeeze me in on the 15th instead of the 20th!!! Im SO excited its only a week from tomorrow At that app we are goin to schedule another u/s to check for "defects" and whatnot; just so we are prepared. That will need to be done within the next 5wks so Ill get to see my lil bean in a few more weeks too!!!! I am just beyond the moon excited Ive made it this far

I go tomorrow morning (the 10th) for my first u/s appointment. I'm really nervous about it because my previous two losses were discovered at the first u/s and I didn't have any signs of anything wrong with either of them. Just praying hard to see a strong heartbeat and a healthy bean!

I leave for Miami tomorrow! I'm so excited but upset and scared at the same time. What a mess of emotions. My first trimester testing is on Tuesday. I haven't felt pregnant for three days! I'm trying not to freak out but that's not even close to working.


My daughter spent the summer here with me and working at the embassy. She's heading back to college so she's flying into Miami with me, spending a few days, and then flying back to college when I leave Miami. Between worrying about the baby , the upcoming tests and my DD leaving, I'm a wreck.

Isn't pregnancy supposed to be a joyous occasion? Jokes on me!

Think it is normal to feel better once ms goes and your placenta comes in. Don't stress.

Good look with the first trimester testing! Don't freak out, your symptoms are probably just subsiding as you are moving into the second trimester. Sorry you are so stressed.

The joy will come, I think pregnancy is joyous, but the hormones mess that joy up for us sometimes!

Also, I cannot believe your daughter is going back to college, you look college aged in your siggy pic! You're gorgeous!!

Thanks for the compliment! I had her when I was 19. She's keeping me young!

I'll be happy once the testing is over. It's been 3weeks since my last appt. I want to see that little HB. I hope you're both right and this is just the good part of pregnancy. It's been so long for me, I don't remember how it feels!
