Depressed...All day, Everyday
My depression is taking a toll on my relationship, My boyfriend and I just recently moved in with one another. I don't have a job right now, I served in combat as a truck driver in OEF 2011 in Afghanistan (thats where I met my boyfriend). We were so in love now we can't stand each other. He keeps getting drunk (well not anymore after I told him I would leave, so far so good its been about a week).
He just got back from deployment in Feb., super stressed out, works 13hrs a day has family coming in a couple days just got a new house and 2 new lab puppies, taking 3 online courses. I am supposed to be taking two classes but am so depressed i can't even begin.
But since I served in afgh. the VA is covering the pregnancy, but I have been waiting since mid may for SOMEONE anyone, to see me, I had an abnormal pap on the 15th of May and then my insurance expired and then I found out i was prego. My last period was the beginning of April so who knows how far a long I am.
I am so stressed that my doctors are refusing to see me, i could have something severely wrong with me! I am so depressed, i hate being around people, i hate everything. I just want to be able to enjoy this time in my life.
I don't see a doc until July 11th...my puppies have an appointment with the vet before that!
Is this normal to feel this way, is there anyway around it, I'm guessing I'm about 13 weeks along?

I suffer from depression and I just wanted to offer
When you go to your dr please let them know what you are experiencing. They can give you advice on counseling and/or medication. My depression got better but mine flared up real bad when i was hospitalized for a week because of my morning sickness.Sounds like you are going through a lot so if you ever need someone to talk to feel free to pm me.

There is actually a service only available to veterans and their families that will help you with your depression and anxiety. They will meet you anywhere/anytime and it will never go in your permanent record with the military. They won't even know about it and it's free to you. http://www.militaryonesource.mil/MOS/f?p=MOS:HOME:0:::: please go check them out. I know of them because I'm a social worker and have referred students and their families to these resources. They can help your boyfriend as well. If there is something else I can answer feel free to PM me. Big hugs.

I agree that you should try to see someone for the depression. I suffer from depression and the pregnancy hormones make it worse. So much so that I had two recent miscarriages and though very upset about them once I was no longer physically pregnant I was much less depressed. Next week for your OB appointment will be here before you know it! Hope you can find some help!

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this at a time when you should be glowing with happiness. I agree that seeing a counselor to talk through everything is a great idea, like what Babidol said. We're all here to listen but someone with a counselling degree is more qualified to actually help you with sound, unbiased advice. The 11th is coming soon and I hope you have a great appt!
