Well, today is day 11 since this started, and it appears that he's back to normal. He nursed normally last night and so-far all day today. I hope I didn't jinx it by posting this, but I think the strike is over .

Thanks for all your input and advice. It's incredible how many people in the last 11 days have said "well, he might just be done nursing". I've also heard lots of stories of babies who suddenly stopped nursing at 8 or 9 months, so the moms assumed they were done (both my mom and DH's mom said that happened with both of us). Hopefully by posting my journey on here I will help other moms know that their baby is not done nursing if they take a little break around this age. Right now I'm just glad to have my little man back at the breast!

    Superb!
Audrey (38) DH (34), Lilly (DD), Logan (DS). Breastfeeding is more than feeding. It is communication between mother and baby. It is a form of nurturing; it is an act of love.
