    Default Thank goodness for zofran!

I feel somewhat normal now that I've been taking it. And eating more normal too!

My doc gave me a script but I haven't needed to fill it. Everyone keeps asking me to because they want it. Lol.

I love Zofran... I find it works best if I take it on a regular basis and not just when I feel sick.

How much did your dr prescribe? Mine only gave me 21 pills with no refills. That's not going to last long at all! I started taking one a day, in the morning, but I get so miserable in the evening.

I got 21 I think with 3 refills, but I haven't filled it yet. I tried half a unisom for the first time last night and it left me so sleepy all day today. I might end up filling the zofran.

I got 30 with 3 refills, but I only take it around lunchtime, and then in the evening if I need it. It helps a lot, but I was still needing my candied ginger too.

TIp on the Unisom for me - it took 24 hours before my body got used to it and I didn't get as sleepy as I did the first time. Of course I'm still a bit sleepy throughout the day - but no different that the first trimester exhaustion....

It helps me in the am, but after 1pm or so nothing helps. Ive been alternating with phenergran just to get out of bed and function, but still not keeping much down in the afternoon/evening. I swear I was not this sick with my last kiddo.

My prescription is for 40 pills with 1 refill, but the doc already told me she'd authorize more refills if needed. I tried weaning off it and only taking it when I started feeling sick but I had to go back taking it every 6-8 hours otherwise it didn't kick in fast enough to help me.

I'm almost 12 weeks (I'm a Jan dd, but my room is really slow), so I thought maybe I'd try going to work without the Zofran yesterday. BIG mistake! I was sooo sick, and on top of that the a/c couldn't keep up in our store and it was 90 degrees by our registers. UGH! I think I'll give it a few more days before I stop taking it again. I was never this sock with my other kids

I'm so glad the zofran is helping you ladies! My OB told me he'd call me in a prescription if I needed him to, but although I've been queasy like crazy, I have only thrown up once, so I'm trying to hang in there. The queasiness is subsiding for me now, too. It was pretty much all day, now it's back to being very sporadic like it was when it started. I've always been completely done with it by 10 weeks, so I am hoping this is a good sign that the end of m/s is coming!

Awww, I am glad the Zofran is working for you girls. I haven't needed it with this little one yet, but I have with all of my other babies so I have the Rx in case I need to get it filled. As things are now I am having a pretty constant nauseated feeling but not really any throwing up. I gag on my toothbrush every day but usually haven't eaten anything yet to throw up. Sorry if TMI.. I had a week or so of pretty bad m/s (with throwing up) but just toughed it out. Of course I am a SAHM so I can't imagine what I would have done if I had needed to be at work! My girls have been so sweet to me too. My oldest (who is 6) found me dry heaving one morning over the potty and she rubbed my back and patted my head with a rag. Sweet girl.
