I think that I will request progesterone testing. I was tested three days before my loss at 5 weeks and my progesterone was only 2.5 (Beta was 28). We aren't sure if the progesterone was low because the pregnancy wasn't viable or if I miscarried because of low progesterone. I had started bleeding the night before I went in for the repeat blood work and my Beta was 13 and the progesterone was 1.8. I did take early result pregnancy tests at that time, too, though and my lines were not getting darker and they were so faint for being at CD 30/15 DPO. That was why I had called to get blood work ordered.

I don't think that my tests this morning look darker. I'll be calling the doctor once they open to request some blood work.

I am definitely have pregnancy symptoms that I've had before so that makes me feel better but I'm not happy about my tests this morning.

I'm off for HCG and progesterone testing this morning. They will have results tomorrow and will call me. We'll do another set of blood work in two days.

Ok, I just noticed that my control lines are also lighter and thinner than the ones from two days ago. How that managed to occur simultaneously with two different tests, I don't know. Unless it has something to do with my urine this morning in general.

Just stalking still, I agree with getting the progesterone checked. I'm disappointed that we all have to wait until tomorrow to know what your number are

POASed again today and it isn't looking good. The lines are getting lighter now.

I seriously don't know what is going on.

I'm so sorry hon!!! I wish it looked better! I know all too well the pain of repeating losses. The best thing that I did was see an RE. I didn't want to. I wanted to believe that what was happening was a fluke. I waited until I started miscarrying my fifth pregnancy to call. It was such an easy fix for me (needed progesterone supplements and a special prenatal with extra folic acid). I wish I would have done it sooner and saved myself from the pain of losing more babies. I'm sure that's not what you want to hear at this point in time and it seems impossible to need a specialist after two healthy children... but if I hadn't gone that route, I wouldn't have my sweet baby boy now.

HUGE HUGE HUGS!!! If you need to talk or anything, please feel free to pm me!

It's not looking good. I was in mixed company and didn't get actual numbers. The HGC levels were consistent with being pregnant "a few weeks" and the progesterone was "a little low." I'm supposed to start prometrium and if this is a viable pregnancy that will help.

I really wish that I had called Friday when my tests were dark.

Don't beat yourself up. The progesterone thing is so hard to know after you've had two successful pregnancies. Just praying they can get all this stuff worked out for you.

I'm starting the prometrium tonight. I'm to take 200 mg at bedtime. I'll be praying for a humongous miracle tonight. I don't know if I should do blood work tomorrow morning or wait until Thursday. I can get it done tomorrow even with the holiday.

That's up to you. If it was me I would do the blood work. Hopefully the progesterone is working.

Spotting now. I can call for test results tomorrow even though the office will be closed (if I understood correctly) else they will call me on Friday.

I am so sorry you are going through all of this. I would recommend seeing a RE also. I have had 5 losses and we found out that my thyroid was not working and I had to be put on medication to treat. My RE also felt like because my thyroid was messed up it was causing me to have low progesterone levels while pregnant. Further testing showed I have a blood clotting issue know as MTHFR and I know take a baby aspirin each day along with extra B vitamins and folic acid on top of my prenatnal vitamin. So right now the plan for my future pregnancy is: Thyroid checks every 3-4 weeks, baby aspirn possible changed to heparin and progesterone. I know that is a lot of imformation and I'm sorry its so long but wanted to let you know there is hope and having a plan is nice. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted. Erica

I didn't call for results because I know that this is over. I'm getting all of my before AF misery at the moment. Because I feel so sick, I did POAS and got just a faint line - no where as dark as it was on CD29/17DPO so of course not as dark as it should be on CD34/22DPO. I won't take the prometrium tonight and I bet that AF will show up in a hurry.

When I talk to the OB nurse tomorrow I'll set up an appointment to see the doctor. I have an HMO so I have to either see my OB or my PCP to get a referral for anything else. I'll see what the OB says. Since we haven't tried any treatment for this (early enough for it to make a difference at least) she might be able to figure things out right now. I'm deathly allergic to aspirin so hopefully that is a treatment that I won't need! After having two successful pregnancies how likely would it be that I would have the MTHFR clotting issue?

No experience with MTHFR but I know Haydensmom had several miscarriages after two healthy pregnancies and she might have some helpful advice.

Eta: sorry if this was mentioned already. On my Kindle and didn't want to not respond.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this again. I wanted to post because I too have an allergy to aspirin. My repeat miscarriages were due to a clotting issue (PAI-1) and I was put on heparin shots.

I talked to my OB and she will be referring me to an RE. I have two to investigate and I just need to let her know which one I want to see.

I also don't know if your miscarriages could be cause by MTHFR or another clotting issue, since you had two other healthy pregnancies. I do know of a lady that had one healthy pregnancy and several losses and she found out she had a clotting issue and did heparin shots during "a suprise your pregnant" pregnancy and she now has a healthy 4 yr old boy. I don't know what caused her blood clotting issue. Hopefully for you it is an easy fix. If you need to pm me feel free. Thinking of you and praying , too. Erica
