It went well. The midwife tried to find the baby's heartbeat since I could be between 8 and 10 weeks. No luck but we did get a few laughs at some of the sounds we did hear :-) Because of the uncertainty about how far along I am and because I have uterine didelphys (esentially a second uterus), they've scheduled an ultrasound for next Monday. Looking forward to seeing the little parasite for the first time. I was also informed that I will need to test early and TWICE for gestational diabetes since my dad has type I. Ugh! I knew I'd have to be watched closely but I didn't think I'd have to go through that nasty test twice. Oh well . . . as long as baby arrives healthy, I'll do whatever I have to do.
