New twin mom-to-be

Hi ladies!

I am about 7 weeks pregnant with twins after IVF with PGD. I had a big scare today with a ton of bright red bleeding. Luckily, my RE saw me right away and both beans are still there, healthy and growing. We even got to hear the heart beats today! I'm on bed rest for the next few days.

Has anyone experienced such bleeding and have everything turn out OK?

Yes, I had bleeding at about the same time with my pg but my twins were spontaneous twins following a m/c just prior to getting pg with the twins.


I was put on bedrest and progesterone which did the trick for us! Good luck with your pregnancy and take it easy!

Yes, I had bleeding about the same time with my twins, too, but my twins were also a spontaneous conception 3 months postpartum (after perinatal demise). I did not do any bedrest or any special treatments, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole pregnancy, and for about a year afterwards. I think it's pretty common. I can't tell you how happy I was to see those two little heartbeats in there, while I was shivering in my gown in the ER, thinking I was having a miscarriage. I cried from happiness.

I had bleeding at about 10 weeks with my twin pregnancy! My OB never found a cause and said it can be normal. My twins are now three. I know it's scary to see blood anytime your pregnant! Glad everything is ok and you were able to see and hear your little ones!

I had it at just past 12 weeks (right after I breathed that 12 week sigh of relief). It was placenta previa. It lasted about 1-2 weeks. Today they are happy little men of 16 months! Being pregnant with twins was the most exciting and nerve racking experience ever! Congratulations!

I did not have bleeding during my twin pregnancy, so I can't speak to that, but I wanted to say congrats!

I had bleeding at 12 weeks. My twins were spontaneous. The OB could find no cause they said I probably overexerted myself(i started bleeding on Christmas) i was placed on modified bedrest the rest of the pregnancy. My boys are now 7 weeks old and doing amazing! Good Luck!!

i had some when i was 12 weeks preg with my twins, and luckily everything turned out fine! i just wanted to say CONGRATS!!!! twins are THE BEST!! i LOVE my twin boys, they are best buddies!! its so cute to watch them interact with eachother!!
