Default Nasal Steroid - tips or advice please??

I posted about my daughter's breathing issues in the new mom's forum about possibly needing to take her tonsils out - she's got a terrible snore and an apnea while she sleeps. i don't know what to do about it, but the everyone says before they consider other things i should try something like nasonex for at least a month. i don't know what to do. . . i hate medications but at the same time i know how unhealthy an apnea is for the whole body.
i don't know why i'm posting - i didn't get many replies in the new mom's, and wanted the advice from other mom's who might not run to medications that quickly. . .
thanks in advance, i'd really appreciate any stories, tips, or suggestions. . .

What does your ENT say about it?

Nasonex is a pretty amazing medication. It is topical, so very little (if any) is absorbed into the bloodstream. I don't know about it's use for anything other than allergies though, since it is just for the nasal passages. And actually, I think that my husband's snoring may be better when he is using Nasonex. But he doesn't have apnea, just normal old snoring.

I don't like taking medications, I prefer to use a natural route, but I do use Nasonex seasonally to avoid horrible sinus irritations that ultimately turn into horrible sinus infections. Nothing else helps quite the way Nasonex does.
