Default Experiencing Cramps Within A Week After Sex?

I know some people say that you can't experience pregnancy symptoms within a week, but here goes... I have been on the pill for two and a half months, nearly three by this point. I have only missed a pill once, and that was over a month before I had sex that I missed it, and I had gotten a period after the missed pill as well. I have been late on my pill five to six times, but never by more than an hour. A week ago, I had sex with my boyfriend, and he did finish off inside of me. After sex - almost immediately so - I did experience bloating and constipation, but those symptoms are slowly beginning to die down now. However, I am having very mild, not-so-painful cramps at the moment, and it has been exactly a week after sex. The kicker is, however, that I am due to have my period within the next few days. (Probably 5 days tops. My periods tend to be a bit irregular by a few days in either direction.) Considering my history of taking the pill, and my cramps, is it likely that these symptoms are just PMS symptoms, and not pregnancy symptoms?

The missed pill is a non-factor since that was SO long before you had sex. Whether or not being an hour late a few times with the pill matters is going to be determined by the type of pill you're on. Whenever you pick up a prescription, it should come with a bunch of fine print, including what to do if you miss a pill (and how much leeway you have in remembering to take it).

Cramping is common with some women before their period starts. Unless you're on a very light dosage of BC that has to be taken at EXACTLY the same time every day to be effective (most pills, I think, you have a few hours of sway to take it if you don't take it at EXACTLY the same time), I think you're probably experiencing PMS symptoms. It is not impossible to get pregnant on the pill (even taken perfectly, it still has a less than 1% failure rate) but EXTREMELY unlikely.

Thanks Rae_1478! I am taking Ortho Tricyclen at the moment, a combination pill. The pro estrogen in my tablet is 0.250 mg, is that considered a low dose or high dose? I would just like to know that I might be up against, just in case when I take my pregnancy test, I know what to expect, hah hah. Dose that mean I have some allowance time wise? (I don't have another packet with me as I am at my mom's house watching it for her, so I can't check. :c)

I think when I had sex with my parter, it threw things a bit uh, "off-kilter" in there. Not only was it my first time with him, it was my first time with anyone really, and he is sizable. I experienced MASSIVE bloating and constipation as I said a day or two after sex, but that seems to be going away for the most part. It was very peculiar. Now all I have is the slight cramps, a very light milky white vaginal discharge, and this feeling like my body REALLY wants to start my period. (Tonight's the last night on an active pill, then I start all my inactive pills, so, hopefully, I will have it then.) My body is still adjusting to the pill, so it's hard to say exactly what it's going to do yet, hah hah!
