Pregnant with an Iud?????

I've had an Iud in for a year and a half and within the last month, some strange symptoms have come up and frankly, my mind is reeling. The symptoms started toward the middle part of April: constantly thirsty, eating a little more, and being tired. But now, I've been craving veggies and tuna (I hate fish), every night my stomach feels like I have the butterflies and that puky feeling. I've gained weight, i'm constantly hungry. I've been eating like crazy. I feel like niagra falls because i'm peeing so much. But like like I said earlier, i'm on mirena and haven't had a period in a year.... Opinions!!

And I've been sleeping non stop. My last pregnancy with my daughter, I slept all day.

Women do get pregnant with an IUD in. Have you taken a test?

Not yet...i'm kind of afraid to, ya know?

If you are pregnant with mirena in, your dr. will probably want to see you sooner so test!

I would test ASAP because if you are, you need to get in to see your doctor like, now.

If you are pregnant, there is a higher probability that it is an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy than if you didn't have an IUD in, since an intrauterine pregnancy is much less likely. An ectopic can be life-threatening. Not to scare you, but you need to test.

It's ok to be scared. Ignorance might be bliss, but only temporarily. You have to know what's going on so you can take care of yourself. Keep us posted!
