    Default Kindle Fire

We are trying to think of good devices for our kids to watch movies in our car without installing anything permanent. Just a couple questions for the kindle fire owners.....can you watch Netflix on there? Des it have Bluetooth? Is there a monthly bill or how does that work?

you can watch Netlfix on it. You can not buy a wireless package yet, so I would not suggest it for the car if your intent is to watch streaming movies. (we have one) Andrew does take it in the car all the time. He plays educational games on it plus reads books. (we have a few that help him read) There is no monthly bill since you just use wireless where it's free. I do not think it's bluetooth capable. (not sure why you would want to though) They just added parental controls and I really like that new feature.

I agree with Kendra. Probably not the best for car use since you need to be connected to a network to stream Netflix. You can download movies onto it from Amazon but it is pretty pricey and takes a lot of memory space.

Netflix would not work in the car. We do have a wifi connection through our cable company and can find hot spots frequently but they often are weak signals and I wouldn't rely on them. You can download/purchase anything in advance. It's been a lifesaver for me in so many ways so far. I love it for my own use and it really comes in handy in an emergency for the kids and with all the doc appts I have been having lately!

Yep, what the others said. It would be good for games, or music, or if you downloaded a movie tor two, but netflix would only work if you were in a wifi spot, like a hotel, some bigger rest stops/gas stations have them.

I have an iPad and it is worth every penny we spent on it. We have the ipad2, and you can buy a strap to put it on the back of a headrest or I often just prop it or wedge it between the front seats. Sometimes DS even holds it in his lap. I download episodes of his favorite shows from iTunes and even interactive books/games/apps. It has saved us from many a nuclear meltdown...since we have to do a lot of driving it has been a godsend!!!

P.s. in our home or when we are not in the car, we constantly use Netflix on the iPad too!
