    Default Again Jericho, really?

Jericho had another seizure, I was by myself with all 4 kids at The Little Gym...good times. Paramedics and a fire truck got there right away but Jericho was already coming back around, thank goodness. Poor guy has had a mild ish fever (we think from his shot a few days ago since he is not sick) that we have been treating, since his last seizure was fever induced. He just had a dose about 3 1/2 hours before but I guess it didn't last long enough. He is off to the Pedi in the morning just to be checked out. I hate this.

    Thanks so much ladies!

Jericho is doing OK today, still running a fever though. If it is not gone or other illness symptoms pop up by tomorrow we need to head back in for them to look more into the cause of the fever. The Pedi visit went well, they said these types of seizures cause no damage or long term effects and most kids out grow them by 3. The Doc said if I can, as in if I am not too deep in a panic LOL, that I don't need to call 911 or go to the ER or even do more than simply let his Doc know he had another one. As long as he IS running a fever and the shaking doesn't last more than 5min they are just febrile and to just ride them out. Easy for her to say ha I will say that I was a little less freaked out this time, since we had just seen it a few months back. Silly kid

Wow! Well, at least the doc does not say it is serious. I have no idea how I would not instantly go in if this was happening. However, like you said, the second time around was easier. But hopefully there will be no more so you will not need to worry.

Scary. I hope he doesn't have another one.

I'm glad he's not in any serious danger. You sound like a pillar of strength.

Oh, I'm so sorry! My niece is now 5 1/2 and she had her first febrile seizure at 6 months old and had them up until last year, about once every 6 months but hasn't had one in over a year. (hugs)

    Thanks guys!

He had a fever of 103 both last night before bed and this morning, so we took him back in, they think it is viral and said just to manage the fever so it doesn't spike too fast again. Hopefully he will kick this soon...sick kids make me a nervous Nelly
