    Question Could I be pregnant?

My menstrual cycle was scheduled to start 1 or 2 days after conception and has yet to do so. Is there a chance I may be pregnant? I want to take a pregnancy test but they all say to wait 7-14 days after conception, any help or advice would be much appreciated! :)

Not sure what you are saying? Your period was supposed to start 1-2days after you think you ovulated or 1-2 after you DTD? If you tried to conceive 1-2 days before your period it isn't very likely that your pg. On average you have about 14days or 2 weeks after you ovulate and then you have your period. During this 2 week window the egg gets fertilized and travels down the Fallopian Tube and attaches into the uterus and this takes some time like 4-7 days. I am not sure if this is helpful or not?

Me neither, I have no idea when I ovulate, I am pretty uneducated in this field, so your answer was informative and even though I am still slightly confused I think I have a better idea of what it is I am asking? And please don't think of me as ignorant for asking, but what is DTD? I don't know if this will help in getting an answer, but to explain the situation; conception happened four days prior to this date 4/3, my period was supposed to start 4/1 and has yet to do so, I have been very regular (not down to hours and minutes) but I have been very consistent so I was wondering if there was a chance that I could be pregnant, or if there is a better explanation as to why my menstrual cycle has yet to start. As I said before I don't know if this explanation will help in any way, or if my questions are even answerable but any help is always appreciated!!

Conception means a fertilized egg. How do you know that conception happened? I am extremely confused that you know you conceived but don't know if you are pregnant.

I think by "conception" she means sex. If that's what you mean, then it's very unlikely that you're pregnant, based on what you've told us about your cycle.

"DTD" is shorthand for "do the deed," in other words, to have sex.

If you only had sex 4 days ago and you expect your period now, then I'd say it's unlikely that you are pregnant, unless you had sex within 14 - 16 days ago. You need to have sex when you are ovulating to have a chance at pregnancy.

Thank you all very much, everything has been very helpful! And yes, I apologize, by conception I did mean DTD. Now just to clarify; do you typically ovulate 7-14 days before your period?

Everyone's different, but typical ovulation is 14 days prior. You can't rely on that without having charted for fertility, thereby KNOWING your cycle. You need to get yourself on some birth control to avoid scares like this in the future.

Well thank you for the concern, I would not be upset if I was pregnant, I was just curious if it was possible based on the circumstances, thank you for all of your help!
