Default Pregnant 5 days after sex?

Hi, I'm new here and was curious if I could tell if I'm pregnant 5 days after I had sex. See the thing is, my boyfriend and I moved to a different state. I moved 2 weeks before him. The first time we had sex in the new state is 3/11/12. Before we moved it was weeks before that we last had sex. So IF I am pregnant the baby would have had to be conceived on 3/11/12.

I'm having symptoms such as being tired, nausea, headache (which is only today but its the sensitivity to the smell. I shampooed the carpets and had a candle going. I don't usually get headaches to smell), darkening of my nipples/ my nipples getting bigger, food aversions.

The other thing that has me wondering if I'm having unusual symptoms is that my bf is a twin. Could I be pregnant with twins and have stronger symptoms of pregnancy?

Some women do say that they can tell that early but it is quite unusual since implantation would not have happened yet - so no significant hormone changes would have occurred. Also, you are more likely to have twins only if your mother (or related woman) had twins. Twins only happen when your egg splits or when you ovulate two or more eggs at one time so it has nothing to do with a sperm/man.
Jessica (32) and Ryan (31). Madelyn born August 5, 2009 and Malachi born December 23, 2010. Lost a loved baby 02/29/12, 05/14/12 and 07/05/12 all due a serious allergic reaction to fabric softener.

You COULD be having symptoms after just 5 days but it is pretty unlikely. However, anything is possible. Just keep in mind that most of the early pregnancy symptoms are REALLY easy to talk yourself into feeling - especially if you're nervous about being pregnant. It's more likely that you wouldn't be feeling anything at all until at least a day or two before AF was due but it's not impossible by any means.

I've heard both about twins - a good number of people on here seem to have different, strong symptoms early on and others have NO idea that they're having twins until they do an ultrasound.

I know I had the same fear this time around because I was getting REALLY positive tests like 6 days before AF was due (and I am 100% on the date I got pregnant because I was temping and doing OPKs)... but turns out there was just one in there. So you never know!

    Best of luck!

It would be too early to have symptoms especially if you haven't missed your period yet. The HCG hormone doesn't start being released until about 7-10 days past ovulation between 24-48 hrs after implantation occurs. I would say test the day of your missed period.
