Question Still no cycle and starting to wonder, any ideas?

Well back in 2007 I had my tubes done after my second child at a hospital that had a reputation of malpractice. But in December 2011 I had my cycle on the 22nd. Then in January I had it on the 24th. But I never did start in February and still haven't yet and lately I've been having cramps like I'm going to start but there's no bleeding. But I thought I should have started by now. I'm a little over a week late. and I'm not on any birth control pills, patches or shots. I just took a $1 test yesterday at lunch time and it came back negative. I took a couple of those pregnancy calculators and they kept on saying I would be six weeks, but I don't think that's right. What do you think? Thanks!

Oh really, I guess we're in the same boat, lol. Don't you just hate being ignored? I sure do.

How old are you? My mom started going through menopause in her late 30's (as did her mom and her sisters). I know quite a few people are surprised that it can happen so early.

Otherwise, (and please take this with a grain of salt - I saw it on TLC's I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant - a guilty pleasure), there is a teeny tiny chance of getting pregnant, even with the woman having her tubes tied.

I think the only way to know what is going on, if you're still getting negative test results on HPT, is to go to the doctor. Cycles suddenly getting wonky can be indicators of other medical issues, too.

I am definitely not an expert, but I didn't want to leave you without any responses. Good luck!

it's possible, but if the tests are negative, likely you are not. More than likely you are just have ing an odd cycle and ovulated late or not at all.

    Question To: Women of Seven

Mother of seven: so you're saying that it's a good possibility I could be pregnant? I don't know if I should take another home test because I took two of those $1 tests and they both came back negative, but I didn't take them in the morning though. If I don't have my cycle this month, I was going to call my doctor to schedule an appointment. I've been taking women's vitamins & minerals pills once a day or every other day. Plus I've been eating and drinking alot and the other day when I was out of town, I had to use the bathroom to pee 3 times within an hour and a half. I've been having light cramps for over a few days now.

I'd get a better test and try that and if you still don't start soon, head into the doc. You don't want an ectopic (although I think it's more likely that you are just having a crazy cycle right now than you're actually pregnant - but better safe than sorry!)

    Arrow Update on Situation

Well I still haven't started yet and I've still been having those light cramps and I've been having them for about a week or a little more than a week (I don't have a very good memory unfortunately).

I think it's time to call your Doc for an appointment, especially because you know this isn't normal for you. !!!!

    Arrow New Update!

Well on the 20th I had went to see my Psychiatrist and she had asked me how I was doing health wise so I told her about my sistuation and while I was there she had sent me to the nurse there to take a pregnant test (which was another one of those dollar tests) and it came back negative still. But I still haven't started yet. I guess I will be making an appointment with the OBGYN next month to see what's going on. I hope it's not endometreosis (my sister and mother had it).

I'm glad you Psychiatrist had you tested but sorry you do not have any real answers. I hope you find an answer soon. Maybe the stress had kept you from starting. I'm hoping it's not endometreosis as that is tough to deal with. take care of yourself and good luck
