Late ovulation? Long cycle. Confused...

I am TOTALLY confused. My cycle is typically 31-32 days and very regular. One time last year I had a 45 day cycle but nothing else unusual. I started my last period on Jan 27th. Typical new cycle would've begun around March 1. Had unprotected sex with dh on the 26th- I felt like I was probably ovulating due to cervical mucous, sex drive, low and soft cervix, etc... I have NOT had a period yet (41 days now from last period but of course only 11 days since suspected ovulation) and took a pregnancy test this morning with negative results. I am EXTREMELY bloated (like 6 inches gained in 3 weeks b/t breasts, ribs, waist and abs- can't wear wedding ring), mildly nauseous in the afternoons the last 3 days, and have had some heartburn (super rare for me- maybe 2x per year when I am not pregnant). I am taking B vitamins, fish oil, etc so I don't know why I should be having so much bloating. I don't even know when I should be waiting til for my next pregnancy test or what else could be going on... Thoughts? Suggestions?

Its possible! I ovulated a few days late the cycle I got pregnant this time. I'd wait a few more days and test again. If you don't have a positive test or your period in a couple more weeks, then call the doctor for a blood test and to see what might be going on. Good luck!

Thanks for your input. Checked my cervix this morning and there was a little dark blood in the sticky fluid (tmi? hope not- I figure that's the purpose of this board). Cervix was high and on the hard side so who knows. So either this is implantation or a period- at least I should know soon. Not sure what to think of the long period (if that's what it is) but we shall see...

Ok- now I am even MORE confused!!! Took a pg test (the super early one) on Thurs the 8th- negative. Friday began spotting. Sat more spotting- slightly heavier but not much at all (like 2 liners rather than 1). Nothing since then. I am INCREDIBLY thirsty but otherwise no additional signs/symptoms. I have a fertile focus (ferning test thing) and no ferning (at some point in pg it actually ferns and stays but I don't know when). I *swear* I had a contraction in my sleep last night (I've had 3 babies- started braxton hicks early in all of them but nothing like this- it was SOOOOOOO strange). I am noticing twinges in my cervix but none of this make sense to me. I don't think I want to test again until at least Thursday (to avoid false negatives, etc) but does anyone have any thoughts what this could be other than pg??? I did find out this past week that I might have chronic strep (my body gets rid of the sore throat and everything but then it flares up again when "provoked") but in checking these symptoms against that- there doesn't' seem to be any overlap so if it's a result of that, it's rare...

Regular Cycle- 31-32 days
Last Period- Jan 27
Unprotected sex on Feb 26
Suspect late Ovulation on Feb. 27
Regular Cycle would put period around Feb 28 or so
Pg Test on Mar 8- negative
**Light** period/spotting Mar 9
Possible Symptoms: spotting, thirsty as all get-out, slight upset stomach in afternoons (slight though- nothing to write home about), serious bloating, heartburn...

I'd test again in a few days, I was queasy with all of my PGs for 3 or 4 days before I actually produced enough HCG to show up on a test. !!!!!

Sounds very familiar...My last period was Feb 7th, heavy spotting for a couple of days on Feb 23-25th, AF due March 7th, pg tests are negative...BUT, I may have ovulated very late because I was sick almost 2 weeks. I wish I had an answer for you, but I just wanted you to know you're not alone
