Default Went off of birth control after a week, Pregnancy symptom

I started birth control for a week, then changed my mind and went off. My period was longer and I had a lot of spotting from going off the birth control. I figured that was it and the side effects were done at that point., since i was only on it for literally a week. (Loestrin 24). It's been about a 5 weeks since then and I still haven't gotten my period, it's 2 weeks late.I was very worried and started search for tips on pregnancy symptoms week by week site. Also I had had unprotected sex 2 days before going off of my birth control. SMART i know :/ but he pulled out.. what's done is done :/. but anyway I'm having very single pregnancy symptom possible at this point, nausea, headaches (CONSTANTLY), discharge, hot flashes, aversion to some foods and some weird cravings, etc.. HOWEVER the problem, took the pregnancy test and it came out negative. Used first response. Now is there still a chance I am (which I am not looking to be) orrr could these symptoms be caused by something else?

I'm no expert, but birth control are hormones, and any time you play around with hormones you're going to mess with your cycle. Have you called your Dr and asked if this is normal after going off birth control? The same symptoms that come with early pregnancy can also be found with monster PMS, especially when birth control is involved.

Sounds much more like its backlash from coming off the BC than pregnancy. If you are two weeks late, you should be showing a positive by now. And the symptoms you're describing are really easy to talk yourself into and very common signs of about a million other things. I agree with above though - call the doc and ask them. If they're at all concerned they will have you come in for blood work but I really don't think you shoul be worried at this point...

It can take several months to get your body back to normal after coming off BCP's, I'm speaking from experience. Years ago, before Matt and I got married, I stopped taking it for several reasons (exercise intolerance, high blood pressure, irregular bleeding throughout my cycle, you name it...), and I didn't get a normal cycle until 4 months after that. So these signs you have could mimic early PG but probably are not. I hope you get an answer soon, and I agree that seeing your Doc is your next step. and hang in there!

Even if you were only on the birth control for a week, the hormones can totally throw off your body for months afterwards. If you are concerned, make an appointment with your doctor. Good luck.
